I feel numb...

Well, it's been a while since I've been on the good old TDH, My Wife and I have been going thru a lot this year and it's only March!

I don't really like talking to ppl about my life.. and never thought I would decide to share on this on a forum, but over the years this place feels like home and so I won't have all these thoughts/emotions eating at me.

First off early last month we found out my wife was 6 weeks pregnant, I was going to be a daddy!! I was so ecstatic I wanted to tell everyone but my wife told me the 1st trimester is the most critical..
my wife noticed some discomfort and some tell-tale signs of a possible miscarriage, we saw her Doctor that morning and took some tests.

We went to see a movie in the afternoon and my wife passed out in the theater washroom, a off duty police officer was able to help her till i was notified, we went to emergency and spent 5 hrs. and were sent home and later that evening she had had a miscarage. I was upset but I was more worried for her, My wife is the best friend I have and to see that go thru all the pain mentally and physically was very hard.

Later the next week her 1st dog was ill had to go to surgery, My wife couldn't get any sleep till she knew he was okay, 12 am comes around, so she called the Vet to see how the surgery went and was told her parents gave the okay to put him to sleep (Casper, had tumors all over his liver and they ruptured) she didn't sleep at all that night.
Casper was a great dog, I'll miss him.

Now, I found out my Great aunt passed away of a heart-attack on Sunday, and she lived in San Fran, but I cant go to her memorial... cause we decided to take a small trip next week to Cancun, to escape and that was book in advance.

I don't know how I feel right now.... Life goes on, I guess.

thx for listening.:facepalm

Hey Sixxgunn,

Don't know what to say, just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry to hear you've had so much pain in such a short time.

If your Great Aunt is anything like my close aunt, she would probably hurt you for trying to attend her memorial instead of taking a much needed break from all the other things on your mind.

Take care,

Phil

Thx,

It's not that I won't go, but I took a week off last month and the did the request for vacation last week... now I'm afraid to ask for bereavement leave.

we just had 20 layoffs here at work, last month.:(

I dont know what's going on over the past few months but my life seems very frightfully similar to yours. My grandma who Ive spent almost everyday with, past away last Tuesday and the scary thing is she was completely healthy. I am very sorry to hear about the miscarriage I cant think of how hard that must be for you and your wife. My prayers are with you man.

Take it one day at a time....you've had a lot thrown your way in a short period. I am so sorry to hear of the miscarriage ....words can't begin to mend the gravity of the situation. Being there for your wife in this horrible time is crucial and will only make you stronger.

Many prayers to you and your wife.

Hang in there buddy!!! I dunno what it is, but there is alot of crummy stuff happening to alot of people I know lately!!! I think you did the right thing by posting & getting some of it off your chest!!!!! Be thankfull (I know you are) that you have such a wonderfull wife!!! If you can lean on each other when you need to...that will get you through anything!!!!! Go on your trip, relax & let everything go!!!! The world will turn brother!!!! :)
D

Sixx, you did the right thing for posting for sure. By deepest sympathies to you and your wife for your loss :(

I know from experience, that it makes all of the difference in the world when you know that there are MANY ppl that care for you and support you in your darkest times. Remember TDH is a family. YOUR family. We're all here for you. I am here for you as you were for me

See through the dark my friend, there are always brighter days to look for. They will come. I've come to realize that although the ups AND downs in life are only temporary ... there are far more "ups'. Hold onto your hopes and dreams, and you will find them.

Stay strong brother,

FP

I feel for you brother. I too went through a miscarriage last year. Jessica went through so many emotions it was sometimes hard to keep up. Hope all turns out well for you. Stay strong.

My thoughts go out to you and your wife. If you want to try and see a silver lining to all of this then it's these things usually come in threes and by my count you've had your quota.

that what my wife said... she was so worried cause my brother in law is expecting... all is good though they had a beautiful girl, so i'm now a uncle,(y)

thx

Those are some terrible things to deal with mate, never mind all of them in such a short time.

My prayers and love to you and your family.

im sorry to hear of your lost vod, my sympathies go out to you and your wife, you shall be in my prairs, i hope that you have atleast an okie vacation. i know myself its not easy to lose someone and then be on a vacation. hope life looks up for you.

If you need to vent doing it here is a good place. You may not get a lot of people posting but you get alot of people reading; and we all care.

Enjoy your trip and take your mind off things. Just stay safe down there. Always be thankful for what you have and have had. I learned that the hard way when I was in Iraq.

I tell the girl the same thing because shes lost three or four family members in the past 8 months.

the best advice I have ever seen was on a church bulletin board it was the weirdest thing, had a ****** day nothing was going my way then out of the corner of my eye I saw the sign, it read...."IF GOD LEAD YOU TO IT, HE WILL LEAD YOU THROUGH IT." And low and behold.. the best advice I ever seen and it is so true,so hang in their bud it will get better.
