Hiding fat

This is the strangest question I have posted but here goes.

I have wanted to make a Starkiller Training Gear suit, the first costume you see in the game, since TFU came out, but my attempts for acuracy have been hindered by the fact I have body fat and the CG character dosent. I am 6'0" and weigh 185 lbs, which is an increase I am trying to get rid of and get back down to at least 170 in the new year, so to most people I do look thin, especially among my coworkers. but when I try to put the belts on so I dont look pudgy my stomach is more round so it looks like I have a pot belly.

Does anybody know where or how to make a girdle or corset kind of binding to hold things where they look less plumping?

I have heard of people using back braces/supports like the kind used for heavy lifting. You could always go for something like spanks for women...or a super tight T-shirt even.

Spanx would work and I've seen guys wear a girdle under their armor too. They're basically the same idea and material as the Spanx but they have a flap with some type of closure (can't remember if it's velcro or hooks) to close it up.

low calorie diet and cardio ;) works everytime

I am restarting that in the new year. Granted I did gain some weight since I don't walk across campus 10 times a day and sit at a desk for 9 hours day at work, but even when I was in wrestling in high shool and the best shape of my life I still felt like my stomach stuck out more than it should, which is very noticable when you're wearing sa singlet.

I hear ya man, I've put on bout 25 lbs in the last 3 months thanks to drama in my life.

But yeah, mainly all of our bodies store fat in different places, like with me, its my love handles...they pooch out extremely...but the problem is, you can't "spot treat" fat. Cardio and a low cal/high protein diet and daily cardio will help with that.

But as for "hiding" it....something I do is an underarmor compression shirt with a back brace. Walmart sells one thats has 2 or 3 support bones in it...I would just cut those out and wear the brace so you aren't stiff as a board all day.

I have "love handles" so I use one of those neoprene/ rubber workout "belts" to keep them in. :facepalm... can't believe I'm admitting this...:(

... I'm not eating for the rest of the day now....

Man, its nothing to be ashamed of.

I know I have, hell, I got back from overseas at 178, and now im at 202...it happens. But its something we experience here in the US, its called laziness. I just happen to have a friggin back problem holding me down from working out. But life drama takes effect too. But either way...its the great thing is a good diet and working out will take all that away...its a great thing :D

I've never been a little guy, hung around the 220 level until about 5 years ago when I jumped up to 275. Knocked that down to 215 a couple years ago, but back up to 245 as work and responsibilities keep me from any semblance of a normal schedule. As Gilmore said, it's nothing to be ashamed of, it's life.

... I feel like this thread is becoming a support group now...

I actually told my wife I was going to make a New Years Resolution and use the treadmill at least 30 mins a day (at a jogging pace) for at least 5 days a week. Its more than I do now... I do nothing now... I have crept up in weight for the last 10 years... about 25 pounds in 10 years... all flab.

I'm hoping to at least stay the same or take some flab off so I'll be OK in my Fett when I go to CV... I don't want to get stared at. :facepalm

Since you like video games, pick up Dance Dancw Revolution!

Also Wal-Mart sells a cheap back support for like $10 in their sporting goods section.

I;m happy being a fat fett I have hypothyroidism and am borderline diabetic so at 5'9"
and 250lbs it's super hard to drop the pounds and being 40yrs old doesnt help. So i'm content that my fett is fat now to lose the lbs for my clone! Good luck man! I have worn
a girdle before for halloween and it helped but really messed with my breathing.

You really should try Atkins/Low Carb. I have heard of several people with either one or both those issues (thyroid and diabetic) correct the problem and loose weight at the same time. I don't have either problem but have had alot of success with it too.

Woodman said it, every year beyond 35 makes it harder and harder - I can't eat anything I used to. I'm generally at work 12+ hours a day looking at documents or drafting papers, so working out can be sporadic.

Key for me is coffee, coffee and lean cuisines! Fiber and coffee will give you the winds - but it will control some of the crave. In the end, it's all about calories in - calories out - keep track of the count. If you can cut 200 calories a day off your diet + workout some, it will come off, take some time, but it will come off.
