Help! With TDH Member!
Not sure where to post this, but back in October I purchased a Helmet from a member (will not mention name at this point) And have not recieved my helmet! tried to email him several times with no answers as to shipping or what problems he could have encountered to prevent the shipment! Any advice as to how I can either get my helmet or money back?
Thanks Brothers!

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
It is possible that cold weather or holiday craziness is the cause of the delay. You might want to talk to a mod. If the seller is one of the people who do regular runs, other people may know a different means of getting in touch.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
Since I have a low tolerance for shadyness I would call them out. Just me.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
agreed ssplt.
due to recent financial crisis - this problem seems to be gettin worse and worse
even from long term and previously well established members
sad, but only a reflection of the times I guess.
if you have already tried w/o success to contact him via pm here and email; and he is shown to be active on this board despite your efforts, I think its fair to :
(1) write to a moderator on this board with the identity and ask for help
(2) call him out on a thread
(3) remember to lodge a dispute with paypal before your time runs out

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
I refused to call out a member here who took me once. Its too late now and not worth my time. Seeing people getting hosed on here lately really irritates me. Def. file the paypal dispute. Protect yourself. Well put Nate.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
It very well could be the weather. There is a guy here who orderd something from me and I cant get it out to him till tomorrow because the roads were so bad. They actually shut down the PA turnpike, parkway, and main roads in my town because of black ice. So weather could be an issue, but communication over the internet shouldnt be effected. I'd tell a mod or if you are seriously concerned, bring the sellers nae in this thread and maybe others will have past experiences with them and have input.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
Sorry to hear you're having problems, brother.
After all the hassle I've had recently, I'd definitely call them out. Or at the very least post a thread asking them to contact you.
Have you sent email as well as PM?
At least you paid by PayPal. Don't forget to keep an eye on your cut-off date for filing a claim. I let mine slip and relly regret it. Now I've got no comeback.
Keep us posted on how things go.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
What is the deadline for paypal? Thanks Brothers for all your input! I'm going to give him one more chance to make good on this....If i see that he has been on and not recieve a reply then I will add his name....his full name!
Thanks again my Brothers!

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
I think the cutoff date for filing a claim with PP is 30-days. I got burned once and didn't file a claim before the deadline so I was left to fend for myself. Even if he's been unable to ship your helmet due to weather or whatever circumstances he should still be able to communicate with you.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
I think it's 40 days, actually.

I just checked and it says you have 20 days to file a claim one you open a dispute over the transaction. It doesn't say how long you to open a dispute but the info can be found here.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
I had an issue with someone earlier this year that I bought my Royal Guard helmet from. They had a good rating on eBay and everything but a couple of weeks after I sent the PP and a few e-mails later I still didn't have my helmet. I opened a dispute with PP and heard back from him within a couple of days (go figure ;) ). Sometimes all it takes is a little fire under their behind, specifically with PayPal or eBay holding the torch. :D

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
If something you bought from a member that is already made and just needs to be shipped isn't with in 20 days that's just ridiculous. I would email/PM them at the 15 day maker saying that if I don't receive some kind of tracking number by day 19 a paypal dispute will be filed. Very plain and simple

Re: Help! With TDH Member!

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
It would be nice to know who this is.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
2 Months of bad weather is kinda of excessive. I know people Have lists of an item before they actually make it and that takes more time, But if you outright buy something that is already been made it should'nt take that long.
Its a shame though I have been ripped off so many times on deals. Just make sure there upstanding in the Community, and never buy anything off Ebay. Theirs way to many talented people here to stray to that vile place.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
AT LONG LAST!!!! My Helmet Finally arrived!!! Just got it Friday! Thanks Brothers for the great advice! What I did was email him and told him that I will put his name out on every board that I can think of and let everybody know what he did, if I did not recieve my helmet or my money! SO ALL IS GOOD!!!

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
Awesome, I know the bad feeling you get in the pit of your stomach in these situations. Post a picture of the helmet! (unless it reveals who sold it to you of course) '-'

Re: Help! With TDH Member!

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
Good to hear this is finally finished.

Re: Help! With TDH Member!
I'm glad things got sorted.
I still don't think calling someone out on a forum is the right way to go. Just make all attempts to communicate, and if that fails just file a claim and/or take legal action. Calling someone out in a forum seems too much like high school b.s. to me. Sometimes transactions don't always go as planned, that is the risk we take when dealing with internet transactions with individuals as opposed to established vendors. Just my opinion.
On the other hand, if someone is purposely attempting to rip-off members of the prop community, the community needs to be warned, and posting the situation is a good idea.
Before committing to a transaction of this nature, make sure you both understand what is being offered, the condition that it is in, how it will be packaged, if the item is on-hand and ready to ship, or if it will need to be manufactured, and an estimated time of arrival. Get full legal names, address, email, and phone numbers. If anyone is offended by being asked for this information, let them know that it is for your own protection. A seller also has the right to refuse service. If the deal looks like it is not going to benefit the seller, he/she may want to back out. Always communicate any changes that occur. If you need to change shipping carriers or if you need more time to work on the item, let the other party know immediately. Also remember that life happens, people get sick, people have deaths in the family, etc. -- I'm starting to ramble on, so I guess I'll leave it at that. Be careful, and good luck to all.
