Help! Anybody dealing with Predatormv?

Anybody else having problems contacting him? I had MoW send a Jetpack to him to get painted back in October and it's been months since his last pm and I don't know what else to do. He said he would be done in a couple of weeks and everybody else I've bought from here has been timely. Losing out on $500+ for this will really just kill me with this whole "project"

He lives near me and did a great paint job for my clone trooper. I know he has been really sick for the past few weeks. I'll give him a call and see what's up.

Thank you, I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it. I saw in his thread in the cargo hold that I wasn't the only one in this, so I hope he's able to do the right thing.

He's a good friend of mine. He's not going anywhere. I know he was sick as well as had gone through a move etc... in that time frame. If you still need help, I can contact him.

not to sound insensitive, but I doubt he's been sick for 4 months since his last e-mail and all it takes is an e-mail or something, especially since I sent him the full payment 8 months ago. Like I've said, I think I've been pretty patient and if he knew he wasn't able to come thru in the one month he originally promised last October, why not just say it before I sent him the payment and I had Man of War send him the jetpack? This is kind of ridiculous now.

That definitely does stink. It is sadly not uncommon though. I've been guilty of it myself. It takes me about 12 hours to do a RotJ helmet paintup... my last commission took almost a year to actually get out the door. When I ordered my Fett armor I got it about 6 months after I paid, and my gauntlets were nearly 9 months.

I'm not trying to apologize for anyone or make excuses, just letting you know that this isn't all that unusual.

I can understand that and although I'm still pretty new here, I've been dealing with buying from prop maker's for over 8 years now and have already dealt with a bunch of wonderful makers from here. It just DOES suck to be in the dark for so long when you could've used that money on something else while that particular prop maker is going through whatever problems they might be going through. Everybody that I've dealt with has always had great communication and I really didn't wanna have to do this, but I don't know what else to do just to get an answer and I wanna remain as positive & polite as possible.

Yeah ive been working on a paintup custom for a freind and the paintup has been happening since the beginning of last week, so far logged probably 15 hours of work on it. I think it took me about 2 weeks to do the cast too in about the same amount of hours.

Prep, mask, paint, rinse repeat.

But then again Ive been commuicating daily my progress and privided pictures as well, maybe thats just my way of doing things.

Understood and heard loud and clear.

I'll take it that the answer to my question to you is "YES" you do still need help contacting him. I'll give him a call and let him know you're asking.

being sick does not constitute lack of communication...people get sick, even lose their voice...a simple message, 2 sentences long, is all that is needed to let someone know what is going on...sick or not, move or not, it is inexcusable to not let someone know what is going on with their money...totally in poor taste...(n)

From the postings I have seen you have remained very polite and positive. I am new to the community too, and this is the one thing that has scared me to death is to lose 500 bucks with nothing to show.

I bet this works out for you but I feel your pain.

Anyone heard from him yet? I sent him my ROTJ jetpack plus trades amounting to the price of a full paintjob over a year ago... I know of the move/sickness etc. but I haven't had an update in MONTHS. I would just like to know what is going on. If ANYONE can contact him personally and tell him to just give me an update, I would REALLY appreciate it! I am looking to put the final touches on my Fett... a year later. I have stayed courteous and respectful, but I am about to take this to the next level. It takes five minutes to send out emails letting people know what is going on. With experience as a seller who has done LARGE runs here and on the RPF, this is unacceptable.

Hey Bob, next time you talk to him ask him about the Stormshadow shoes he STILL owes Art...

This is not the first time a member has had an issue with him and he has not responded to them. Back in '08 a member had an issue with him. He bought a Tusken Raider mask from this member then failed to make payment, then shut off all communication with him. The last I heard, i contacted Mark and told him this member was trying to contact him. He responded to my pm (failed to respond to the members pm), told me he would take care of it, but it never got taken care of.

Any updates with this? He's had my jetpack for over a year... It's the last piece I need to complete my Fett that I have been working on for almost three years now. This really sucks...

i don't get why he's responding to Bob and blowing everyone else off if he claims he is sorting it out with them via PM. Really, the right thing to do would be to issue refunds and ship people back their stuff. It's clearly not getting done.

From the sounds of it he's got 2 jetpacks at least on his work bench and some other owed props...why take on so much if there was any question he couldn't get it done.

Not fair at all..

Seems like its a matter for the a judge to handle. I wouldnt be contacting freinds or having folks talk to this dude if he wont even say "hey im trying to get it fixed" to the buyer. Its all hearsay from anyone else involved, go to small claims on them. and do it soon before liitations run out!
