Helmet Stand

Just wanted to take a moment to share this with you guys as it's a nice easy and good looking stand. It started life as a stetson cowboy hat stand at a western wear store. Attachment 42808 One of our local troopers is a manager there and brought a stack about 6ft tall to an armor party so we all figured what the heck. After a little sanding and paint and some time learning new things with my airbrush this is how it ended up...

I'm not a huge fan of the yellow/red MS decals but the overall idea is fantastic!

They actually aren't decals. I cut 3x3 pieces of sintra and airbrushed them that way. The biggest point of building the stand for me was to practice some airbrush stuff and to use paints other than the polyscale model paints I've used on the armor and helmet. I could have made them any color, I just chose to make them similar to the shoulder bells for no real reason.
