Is this helmet could for a starting point

I came across this helmet at a local thrift at an incredible price which made it so I had to get it.I am wondering if it would make a excellent starting plateform to make it into a helmet like the AT-ST,Snowtrooper or one along those lines.I know there will be some work to bring the sides and back down straight.
Like I mentioned it was just a thought I had to throw out here for any advice or suggestion if anyone else has used this style helmet has a starting point.

I had this helmet... It sat around- then I used it as a base for a master shredder helmet. Wasn't worth the time to shape it into anything but a samurai lid.

Time wise, meaning if you have time and not money, cut it off all the way around and get going. I made my first helmet with a helmet similar. Its still sitting next to me.

Money wise, I would buy one of the fettpride lineage helmets. Preferably fiberglass, and you know youll have a nice helmet in no time.
