Growing up Star Wars - Flickr Pics

Darth Larch

New Hunter
Ran across this awesome photo album when I'm supposed to be working. :)

You ancient people like me will be shocked with nostalgia. The toys! The furniture! The shag!

But really why I'm posting here, late in the album (and there are a *lot* of pics) there are some photos of a fantastic Fett costume. Wondering if maybe it is one of the promo ones that were talked about on other threads (Palitoy, etc.). I can't figure out how to link directly to those pics, you'll just have to go through the whole thing. You'll like it though. ;)

Edit: Just noticed the tag says the pics were taken at Cumberland Mall near Atlanta during a 1980 promo for ESB.

Edit2: Maybe this will work

Wow! Talk about a blast from the past! Ah, the good ole days. Can you imagine going somewhere back then in the costumes that we have now?

Oh snap! Rotj bucket on a different tour suit and a New set of armor!
Looks like pp2 guants along with everything else that is on the other tour suits. Very nice find! I'm excited

Amazing!!
I felt like I was flipping through my own family album!
I have a few pictures of myself as a kid with all of my original 12" figures lined up beside me in my stairwell. Looks just like all of those pictures.

: )

Wow...reminds me of the good ole days where you just dump the toy out of the box, throw on a few decals, and play. Now you have to spend 30 minutes undoing the twist ties to remove them from the perfect display position behind the clear plastic.

I never thought I would ever say it, but after looking at those pictures... Maybe Rubies isn't that bad.:D

 I knew somebody would know what flavor of pre-pro that was! Now spread the word and see if anyone else was there at that mall who got pics!

Isn't it great seeing that vintage toy packaging again? Good times. I could be any of those kids with the bowl haircut. Notice how the photo quality gets better from 1977 to 1983? Lots of fuzzy pics from those Polaroids and 110 cheapo cameras I think. :D

That's not the pp2 helmet its Rotj. And the chest armor does not match up to pp2 either. The chest armor I believe is new, because its not from the Sandy suit and it does not match up to any other. This excites me:lol:

Looks like the armor is an additional set?

I over looked one. You are absolutely correct MadalorFett. I always considered this as the Sandy armor, even though it uses the pp2 right breast plate. Because the ab cant be found anywhere else, to my knowledge.

Sandy Armor/Suit

But if what you posted is the Sandy Armor the pics by David Heilman, then the armor on the Sandy Suit is just another set or atleast the ab and left plate is.
