gold vader case

I have a gold vader case. How do i find a true value for it. all i find is this and other articles. --------------

One of the most infamous Star Wars prototypes, this vintage Gold Chromed
Darth Vader Case has been featured in almost every price guide published
about collectibles. This is one of the best examples known to exist and it
features a very clean gold finish with all its latches unbroken. Because of the
nature of the chroming process nearly all of the Vader cases needed to be
split along the seam but this example is intact and there are only a handful
of these known to exist. What happened was, when Kenner produced the
gold C3PO carrying case they wanted to see how much packaging they needed
to protect the finish during the shipping process. So they made around one
hundred Darth Vader carrying cases vacuum metalized with this gold finish
and then shipped them to and from Kenner headquarters.

As I'm sure you've read these are very rare, especially in the condition you own. Unfortantly the item you have is so rare it almost never comes up for auction or sale which means its some what of a wild card, meaning their is no real way to apraise it since no one has sold one and even if they had you couldnt use that as a bench marker. If you ask me, its priceless and NEVER EVER let it leave your collection! my only sollution for you would be attempting to contact the maker (Steve Sansweet) and hope he replies or even send Theswca.com a letter and see what they have to say since they deal specificly in star wars memorabilia

How did you get this case? how do you verify that it isn't a fake. It would be great to see a few detailed pics.
