To go or not to go in costume.

Hi there fellow Fett fiends and friends! :) I'm thinking about wearing my costume (incomplete as it is) to a showing of Clone Wars. It's not 501st ready, nor is it complete, just armor, jet pack, helmet, girth belt, ammo belt, cape and a jumpsuit. No guantlets and knees are not complete yet, no shin tools either. No blaster yet, but I can throw one together in short order.

I'm a little reluctant to go in costume, because it's not complete, much less up to snuff. My six year old is wanting me to go in costume along with her in her custom Mando suit.

So, what'ya think? :confused

Opinions welcome, past experiences preferred. :cheers

Heck ya! Only hard core fans will no the missing links. And your daughter will be the coolest kid around with Fett as her dad.

yes for the love of god go for it! Trust me it's something your daughter will remember for a long time, and she won't care if it's incomplete, and if anyone else does, then screw them, you're doing it for your daughter and that's all that matters.

Of course do it. Even if it's not complete. The armor and helmet are really all that matters

I'm going with everything except a jet pack and blaster.

I even have a jet pack, it's just i don't want to wear it.

just remember your local theaters policy regarding wearing costumes and props.. alot of them will not allow you to have a mask/helmet and most do not allow prop weapons. but I would definitely try!!

i am going in my AP stormtrooper.... if i had my jango that is on its way in the mail , id wear that. but my stormy will do for sure.... yes go in armor by all means.

Showing my ignorance here, but what is an AP stormtrooper?

BTW, you bucket heads have convinced me to go in costume, even if I've just got primer on my helmet. :)

Where's the jet pack going to go when you sit down to watch the movie?

I'm probably going to leave it at home. :facepalm The theater we're going to does allow people to wear helmets and carry prop blasters. Here in South Carolina, if I showed up in a custom Mando with mossy oak camo, nobody would bat an eye. :)
They'd just figure I was going hunting after the movie.

Go for it. You'll have a blast! I saw ROTS in Jango armor with my jet pack, and I just took it off and set it at my legs in the theater. Then again, it was a pretty roomy theater. It will be another thing to worry about though. Just go and have a great time!

Darn, if you had said this earlier I would have sent you the missing piecies to borrow. But either way I would go incomplete, man if my father ever did that when I was a kid I probabally would have started this website first lol

No question about it. Complete or not, your daughter's right! Go for it. SERIOUSLY. If you don't you'll regret it afterwards. Those father/daughter moments are rare, and that is most likely once in a lifetime. Hopefully not, but do NOT lose this opportunity.
