Funny Ebay thing??

Did I miss something or is it just seem funny that alot of ebay items (espically expensive things) have ...lets say 10 bids and almost all bidders have similar user names which consist of ***'s between two letters? I may have have just missed a memo. But thought I'd ask.

Actually more accurately speaking, all the high end auctions, namely over 100$, the names are blocked out for bidder privacy. As far as I know...no guarantees, that's what happened on my master chief auction at any rate...

You got it ;) They started that awhile back...and BTW, the 1st and last letter don't match the real 1st and last letters, it's totally random (it seems). It's a form of protection (to prevent selling offline to non-winners by non-sellers) and to prevent fake 2nd Chance offers being sent to non-winners by non-sellers.

But it also prevents me from seeing if my nemesis is outbidding me or if it's someone new ;)
