The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

Well, played the PS3 version of the game last night with my best friend Chris at the displeasure of his girlfrrend. and we were not that impressed, though I admit after waiting around for a few years, it was bit anti-climatic, I guess.

We dealt with some glitches, and are still amazed after all these years, why items or charcters, like, get stuck in corners, while they are running, and backgorunds flicker and stuff until you are actually up on them. Also, we were suprised that the photo realism was below say, EA arts quality. The console also froze, twice on us, though we didn't loose any progress after re-booting.

All in all though, it looks pretty slick and we did enjoy oursleves. Cant wait to get back on it tonight

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

I bought it yesterday and only played it for an hour before I turned it off and went back to Call of Duty 4.
Very, very glitchy. The graphics are very unimpressive. I felt like I was playing a PS2 game. And even some of the more recent PS2 games have better gameplay and graphics than the Force Unleashed offers.
I don't feel like they are giving us anything new with this game. It plays exactly the same as "Bounty Hunter" and "Battlefront." Both games that I love but I'm not sure I really wanted to pay $60 for the same game again.

CALL OF DUTY 4 ROCKS!!!!!...especially XBOX Live play!

Bought Force Unleashed yesterday for the kid, but didn't even break open the clear wrap because he wanted to watch Rocky for the first time. We'll give the game a play today after school. We liked Bounty Hunter and Battlefront, so it sounds like we'll probably like this one too.

Glitchy...that's an understatement. Gameplay froze at least 3 times on me so far, but the camera still works fine.

Although I've got to say, throwing people into walls, energy shields, other people, etc with force grip is insane fun.

I knew it would be one of those games that you play once, have a pretty good time, but toss aside for other games, so I just rented it.

i can see myself playing through it a couple times, it's just too much fun to throw a stormtrooper into the path of an oncoming tie fighter. though i felt it suffered from the same problem i have with halo. you have all these skills/abilities/powers/weapons/etc at your disposal, the levels are pretty big, but you don't really have any freedom with them; you're on a track and you need to figure out how to get from point a to point b. now if lucasarts had made me a game called the force unleashed that was a giant star wars sandbox (ala grand theft auto), and gave me crazy powers to throw around in that sandbox it would be the greatest game ever!

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

Fantastic game, possibly hurt by the hype however.
It has met and exceeded my expectations. I have been excited about this game since I first saw the 'Force Power Pre-Viz' video back in '05(think it was summer of 05 right?)

Many glitches, yes, but I have yet to encounter any to render the game unplayable. Stupid AI glitches where some NPCs will get stuck in the geometry of the level, or caught between two boxes. A few cases where enemies will turn their back to me and simply ignore the fact I am right there. Some boss fights can be ridiculously difficult, to the point where you feel their onslaught is outright cheap; they will knock you off your feet, and wait for the very moment you are about to get back up, to step on you and keep you down again.

The graphics are stunning, to truly appreciate the beautiful artwork put into this game, you really need a high-def TV capable of 1080i. Playing on a 50" plasma, I am still in awe when I see the subtle touches put into the character models. From the scars across Starkiller's back and chest, to pattern of the fabric of his pants and shirt. The textures of the faces could use some work however, the eyes look cloudy and lifeless. The facial mapping and motion capture of the muscles in the face do add a bit more believability and immersion.
The level design, while linear, is very good. The palettes and textures borrowed directly from ILM give the environments a very Star Warsy feel. The huge backdrops when looking out a window, or at the skyline, give the levels a feel of epic proportion.

LA's access to the Star Wars sound library, makes every blaster shot, hum of a lighsaber, screech of a TIE, yell of a stormie, sound absolutely authentic, practically pulled straight out of the movies. Dolby 5.1 surround with bass cranked way up is totally heart stopping. Borrowing pieces composed by John Williams, (and a few new compositions) makes the soundtrack an instant classic.

Given all the technology being employed all at once, it is a marvel this game runs at all. There are plenty of times where there may be too many physics calculations going on at once, for the framerate to keep up, but it barely dips under 30fps, noticeable yes, but not game stopping. I've got it for 360, and just from reports I've read, the PS3 handles the game only slightly worse. (<- if somebody can prove or debunk that with reference, I'd be appreciative)

On to the core gameplay. Has a feel about it like the Jedi Knight games had, and that is a good thing. (while we are on the topic of JK)There are obvious reasons while dismemberment was left out, to balance the gameplay, and to keep a T rating, thus selling more copies to a wider audience. The lightsaber does feel like a glowing wiffle bat; to make the saber a one-hit kill weapon would render combos redundant, and make the gameplay TOO easy.
The force powers work (and look) great, when you can use them on what you intend. The aiming reticule is non-existent and instead you will lock on to what Starkiller is facing, NOT what is in the center of the screen. If there are too many objects around, and you are trying to pick up that one guy and throw him, you may sometimes feel like force-pushing your TV through the wall.
The hack and slash gameplay is very familiar to God of War and Devil May Cry fans. Speaking of GOW, the quick-time events used to finish off bosses are ripped off and copied into TFU. While not very creative, the result is definitely fun and satisfying to watch.

My only REAL gripe, is the fact menus have to load for a few seconds everytime you open them up (even just for general options, ***?!) No clue why, but it could have and SHOULD have been fixed. The short wait is not that bad, but only slightly annoying.

All in all, not perfect, but not bad by any means. Certainly fun and entertaining. And with two separate endings, should last you a good 13+ hours.

I got it for the psp and as far as the psp goes it's one of the best games, but that's not saying much.

It freezes alot on the psp too. All in all I still like it, although the boss fights are getting kinda repetitive with that stupid combo system.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

I played most of the game so far. The game does have several glitches. It froze once on me while heading back to Raxus Prime, and when I defeated Roxy towards the end, I had a major glitch where I couldn't progress any further. The glitch only happened when I defeated Roxy too fast before he had the chance to turn to Darth Maul. If I fought him slower and didn't try to kill him too soon, he finally turned to Maul. I then defeated him as Maul and the story progressed to the next scene. The graphics are not much better than other games I have played, however I love the amped up force powers that you get in this game compaired to previous Star Wars games. All in all, I like the game but still prefer Call of Duty 4 over this game.

LOL, yeah COD4 is still the bee's knees.

I picked up TFU yesterday for the 360 and so far its merits far out weigh its faults which are typical ones, problematic camera, cheap A.I and wonky freeze ups, unfortunate but you’ll get over it.

The gameplay overall is solid, robust controls and stunningly immersive environments to complement the already mentioned outstanding story, cinematics and characters, anyone who dug HK-47 in KOTOR will love PROXY and I’m expecting Juno Eclipse to be pretty popular at cons with the fanboys.

The levels are as diverse as you’d expect within the confines of the SW universe, one minute your fighting junk droids off inside an ancient hyperdrive engine core on Raxus Prime the next navigating your way through Felucia's massive fungal forests.

Force powers are varied and have an RPG style leveling system for upgrades and progression that will make lobbing several stormtroopers into the vacuum of space or force punting jawas (which is incredibly cathartic btw) that much easier.

The euphoria physics engine is really put to work in the game making the environments very sandbox friendly, best bit so far is spraying carbonite on unsuspecting stormtroopers, simply classic.

Overall it’s a popcorn play through which I’m sure folks like us and casual fans will appreciate and enjoy.

Force Unleased is a great game. I had a few glitched moments in it but none the less, I beat the game in about...7 hours I think. Was fun!

I bought it for the 360, and so far I haven't had any glitches. Everything's working great. I'm having a blast literally throwing objects/people a block down the hallway, and out the windows of ships, and getting to see the rest sucked out after them, great fun. I would have liked to see a KOTOR like choice driven game, where you can go light or dark and the story would follow said choices.

Played it on my roomate's PS3, I have yet to ever see/have these issues. Been running perfectly smooth overall.

Another thing....I noticed on the loading page, where it shows the factoids, the first one that popped up, references the "Darktrooper Project" from the story in Dark Forces, the old PC game. Im hoping it makes an appearence later on in the game, could be my final 3rd reference :eek

Played it for a few hours now. I have not had any glitches with it and so far I really like the story in it. As I'm playing I am actually thinking "why isn't THIS a movie!"

The graphics are amazing, the physics are beautiful, and when the characters fight it actually looks like profesional coreography rather than just random hacking

My only complaint with the game is the finishing move where you have to hit the proper buttons as they appear on screen to finish a large enemy (jedi, AT-ST, Rancor, etc). You end up looking at the buttons you sometimes miss the action.

Long story short, I am happy with it and I hope more people play so when I go out as the apprentice people actuall get who I am suppose to be

BTW, I have it on the 360.

i was thinking that same thing during the boss fight with Kazdan Paratus. especially after a saber-lock; both characters spin away from eachother, sabers twisting and falling back into a ready stance. i got to experience that a few times cuz i wasn't able to beat him the first two times.

I got it for the Wii when it came out on tuesday. Well, its a good game and very fun but dissappoiinted at the same time. What happened to that physics emulator they were useing where when you throw something into a piece of wood it shatteres differently?? I haven't noticed that at all and as far as smarter AI....not there. I haven't seen stormtroopers grab for each other when they are hanging...all I've seen is them get stuck in cornors and just take some force lightning. Had a dissapointing boss fight where this certain boss some how got stuck and just sat there while I lightning him and boss over. Also on the Wii...you feel like you are just waving your arms in a spaz fashion and the character will do something. I have no control as to what he does. You have to move the wii remot foward to jab...well that may work less than 50% of the time. Overall.........fun game, glad I bought, disappointed with lucasarts and whoeve worked on t he game. For as long as it took I expexted way better. Also does anyone else feel like the story was rushed......

    SPOILER!!!!!!!

WHen Darth vader turn on the apprentice and "kills" him...where did that come from??? You were fine, you went to go see Vader, then BAM vader kills you and sceen is over. I WANTED MORE!! Did anyone alse feel this?

The Digital Molecular Matter and Euphoria engines are only employed on the PS3 and 360 versions. Unfortunately the hardware of the Wii cannot handle all of the complex physics calculations. My best friend has it for Wii, and he's begging me to bring my 360 over so he can play it to the awesomest extent.

I think it is not. Same case with the Wii, the lesser processing power just can't handle all the physics going on all at once.
Not certain, I've only payed attention to the 360 version.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

Thanks for clearing that up. I know the Wii is a copy of the PS2 version graphics and all so I guess if the Wii diesn't have it then the PS2 won't. The only difference of the Wii is the "motion control" and the verses (which I have to say is pretty cool). That makes sense about the Euphoria when you think about it.....Darn the Wii for its lesser abilties. Oh well....I just have to wait to get it on the PS3 whenever I do eventually get a PS3.

He kills (or tries) because the emperor has tracked him, and knws that vader is trying to double cross him, his only option is to kill the apprentice or face the emperor, and vader wasnt ready to face the emperor.

The book is excellent read it

I hate the locking system with a passion. It's so random and hard for it to lock on to what I want to pick up, especially when there's a ton of stuff in a tight group.

Other than that I love it. Picked it up yesterday, but stuck on the boss battle on Raxus Prime.

Hey stormrider thanks for clearing that up. It just happened out of nowhere and I figured a little more story would have really helped that sequence. I will def check out the book. I am sure the book makes up for what is missing from the game.

Ok, I bought it when it came out, and now, two days later, I've almost beaten it. The story is going by too fast. With all the hype They were making for this game, I got less than I expected. I have the Wii version, which lacks in the graphics a little. It hasn't frozen, and there aren't any glitches for mine. However, I agree that this game is good just for renting.

Oh man, Ive been playing on a PS3 this whole time, I dont think the story is going by that fast at all! No glitches, the graphics are amazing, the physics engine is awsome and slicing AT-ST's in half is just kick ***, not to mention bringing down that star destroyer.

One thing that I do like about the story is that it clearly shows the transitional period between what is episode 3 and 4's time frame. I just find it kinda cool, cause we've never really seen that, or at least I havent.

Back to the Darktrooper thing though...I now know that it won't appear in this game, but it does clearly mention it with the Purge Trooper's story in the databank...

I haven't noticed that at all and as far as smarter AI....not there.
I noticed that on the Wii. Felt I was just flailing around. Also I can be standing still not even moving my controller and he keeps doing force pushes. I run and force push everything...annoying. I just don't think it was as well done as for the 360 and PS3.

-IT's ONLY 1 PLayer major not cool!!!!
-linear story line ( I enjoyed the KOTOR freedom a lot more)
-Mandalorians as BAD guys??? NOT COOL!!!! ( In the kotor series ya even got to use a mando THAT was awesome)

Cool parts customizable suits and lightsabers and powers.
    major doing collateral damage
Did I Say a HOT pilot

Okay, just found a glitch that's seriously peeving me off. When fighting Vader, he'll pick you up in a force grip, and throw you against a wall, unless you rapidly tap "B" (on 360). Well, if you're right in the middle of mashing the saber swinging button, that will cancel out your "B" mashing, as if you hit the wrong button, so no matter how many times I hit B, he still slams me against a wall.

Oh, and bringing down that Star Destroyer brought out some seriously colorful language.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

I could deal with the target system (or lack thereof), while frustrating it was passable, but certainly not up to par with what we'd expect. I forgave the game for that, it was annoying but didn't kill the game for me.

What I seriously was mad about were how dang difficult the final battle with the emperor was. Playing on Sith Warrior (Normal) it was hard as all hell and took me an hour to figure out the trick needed to beat him. Since when can the Emperor FLY?!?!? I know as a strong force wielder it is certainly possible but it just looked stupid. And that old fart fights so dirty too, cheap tactics non-stop! Once I figured out the trick, it was pretty easy, but still unfair how weak all of your attacks are compared to the 5 direct hits it takes to kill you.
I understand that if you choose the Dark Side ending and fight Vader instead, it will be even harder! Since there are no littler enemies to off in order to regain your health. I am NOT looking forward to that when I do my next run on Sith Master (extra hard). I just know the amount of tourettes coming out of my mouth will be downright blasphemous, colorful language indeed.

The ending was well worth it though, and how well they made the story tie into the events leading up to ANH was spine tingling. It made up for all the flaws, for me anyway. So in the end, all the cons were greatly outweighed by the merits!

And also, I KNOW I wasn't the only one who was totally digging the bounty hunter's costume Starkiller wore on Bespin!! But he had two right gauntlets, wut?

The book is a 8, the game is a 6, together having read the book first, the adventure is a 9.

I suggest reading the book, because then the game flows and makes a lot more sense.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

Well, to start, I have the XBOX360 version. There were two major issues I've had with the game; one was the targeting system. Trying to grab what I wanted to grab, or worse, Force Lightning the enemy in FRONT of me, was sometimes very trying. The second was the length of the game: I beat it in under 9 hours. (Granted that was nonstop, but still come on people!) I don't care for the combo style especially, I prefer the KOTR style play but it was ok. I beat the game on Sith Warrior initially. I'll admit, I wanted all the holocrons so I went back and played it through on Apprentice. As much as I can't believe I'm saying this, Apprentice level was a lot more fun. I waded through the enemies like, well like a Sith Lord. And the bosses were tougher, but not so much I wanted to smash something in frustration (which happened in the Sith Warrior mode).

As far as the graphics go, I was playing it on a 30" 1080i. The graphics were AMAZING. With the full force blast going off in the bar, it was awesome watching bodies and chairs flying.

I liked the story. It was obviously Light sided, but it was still VERY good. Much better than say, the Jedi Academy game. It would have been nicer if you were able to make more choices in the game, but hey, it was still good. I went and got both endings complete; I actually disliked the dark side ending a lot. Which is quite unusual for me.

And just to throw out, my favourite part: when PROXY turns into Maul. I was totally unprepared for that. It was obvious the creators put A LOT of effort in rendering that model. I could barely tell that it WASN'T Ray Parks. And it moved just like Maul in TPM moved.

The reason the game "sucks" is that people gave it too much hype.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

Yep, the Wii controls actually work against this game. They are shoehorned in to make it seem different - and it only ends up being frustrating. The graphics on the Wii are horrible compared to the other versions of the game - think GameCube or maybe Sega Dreamcast.

I had hoped that the controls would be used for swing the saber, but it does not read what you do with the remote, all you are supposed to do is shake the remote so they will swing the saber - but it does not matter how, or where you shake it.

I have a feeling I would have had a LOT more fun with this on a different system.

The only cool thing on the Wii is the ability to fight against someone else in battle mode. The problem is that's pretty cheap - you can pretty much use force lightning combos and it's more of a quick draw competition for who can hit the button the fastest when the counter gets to 0.

I have the Wii version, the controls are okay, but they are hard to get the combos down. Also, I could care less about the graphics, the PS3 and 360 look awesome, but graphics don't always make games fun.

I totally agree - which is why I normally love the Wii games (it's probably my favorite system ever). This game could definitely have benefited from the improved graphics however. They are bad even for the Wii.

I just hate the weak and gratuitous cut scenes in a battle where you turn the left control 1/4 turn, then shake the right control, then turn the left one again trying to align them with some stupid picture - it's all there just to make you think they actually customized the game for the Wii controls. It's a really bad design...

...and controlling the lightsabers with the control is a joke - you just shake them, it doesn't matter how. I hate to say it, but it is probably the worst use of the Wii controls I have seen, but I have only played a dozen or so games on the system.

Some of the camera abgle are bad too. Can;t count all the battles where I could not even see my character because he was blocked by something because the camera had swung into a bad position - sigh.

Anyway - even with all that said - it's still sort of cool. I do like running down the halls and kicking booty with my force powers. I have not gotten to the end, and probably never will to be honest.

I do agree about the graphics being pretty bad for the Wii. SSBB has amazing graphics, but Force Unleashed, they were kind of sick. I really do dislike the cut scenes. The mouth movements are wretched and barely match the voices. Half of the time, their lips don't even move.

I'll probably get the game on the 360 when I get one, but I want someone to come over with a Wii Remote so we can play Multiplayer! That's the best thing about the Wii, multiplayer.

Yeah I have to agree, I have the 360, and the targeting system on it could be ALOT better. I too wish that it was more like KOTOR, as far as decision making which affects game, would have bee nice to choose dark or light from the beginning. However none of that ruined the game for me. I LOVE the graphics, the story is freaking awesome, I loved both endings, and hey the addition of Maul was a pleasant surprise. My favorite move? that was the Sith Punt on the jawas and ugnaughts, I mean who hasn't wanted to kick the hell out of them? And let's not forget that the game had the best appearance of Jar Jar EVER!, Jar Jar in Carbonite YAY! ( for those that don't know, it's in Imperial Kashyyk level on the wall in the trophy/head room) (Also I personally know the guy that came up with the idea for the actual one that was given to GL, so it was especially cool seeing it in the game)

All I really have to say is that, if you play the game for only one reason, play it for the story. I was hooked from teh very beginning. it had that cozy "A new Hope" feeling to it the whole time. I was really blown away at the end. amazing! I want to somehow burn all the cinematics on a DVD and add it to my star wars movie collection. I'd seriously watch it quite often. very very good writing in this game.

I was disgusted when I learnt that Lucasarts aren't releasing it for PC. I recently acquired a PC that makes consoles look like pocket calculators in comparison, and now I won't get to play the game.

Shame on Lucasarts for neglecting PC gamers.

Hey I was reading some posts and I noticed a few differences. First I got the game for the Wii and where does maul come in? I know he is on the wii for multiplayer but I didn't see him in game. Also about the end, I fought vader then palpatine. So I am assuming that there is one ending for the Wii...and it's the good ending?? I didn't know there was that much difference between the versions. Also does anyone know as to why the voice of Jango is in the crdits?? I am tasking stormriders advice and getting the book hopefully soon. I loved the story but the game felt rushed as far a sstory development goes.

    ****Spoiler Alert****

I got it for the psp and I beat it and didn't notice if there was a way to a different ending, I fought Vader twice and ended up on a med table with a mask which is kinda weird because the Emperor comes in and comments how Vader is dead and you are now his apprentice, then the credits start to roll. Does anyone know if there are different endings for the psp and at what point in the game do you choose which one to follow?

i played through the game twice now, and finished it with both endings, i loved every second of it, and i dont seem to run into any glitches apart from running outside of the shield wall during the light side end boss battle, i gameplay is fun the story is great, the only thing that bugged me was the difficulty curve, cazdon paratus's dificulty was like running head first into a brick wall. but other than that its was great!
i'll be playing it again but this time on sith lord difficulty

    its freakin awsome!!

    SPOILER

All right so I take it the PSP version you become the apprentice for the Wii you form the Rebel Alliance and you get it in the end a sa marter for the Rebels. So for those that have the PS3 and X360 are those the two different ending? I plaued it through and didn't have to choose a side I just killed what I had to kill. Is there a different ending for each version?? I am so confused right now. I kind of sucked seeing your character dead on the floor but it also really made the story.

Dude those mados were so freaking cool...like the concet Boba helmet they wore!

ok I'm confused, I have 360, are mando not on that version? if so then darnit lol! And, no Vader is not harder than Palpatine, actually he's about 1000 x's easier due to his vulnerability to being force gripped thrown against a wall, then suffering massive damage from being attacked while down, palpatine was just cheap in every way possible.

I got it a bit late and have been playing it for the past two days. I just love the story so far but I'm only at the part where Starkiller escapes from the medical bay and is fighting the purge troopers.

I havent had any glitches whatsoever on the PS3 yet. I'm wondering if thats due to the fact I only have 3 games for it so far. So my hard drive is relatively clean.

Also I understand why there wasnt any dismemberment, due to the fighting style, but I really wish there was. I just want a lightsaber game where when you touch something with a lightsaber they get cleaved up. There's some stigma that Star Wars games have to fall in to the T rating but I'd love a game with dismemberment regardless the rating. So thats my piece. I still enjoy putting that cheat on Jedi Outcast and having some fun lol.

There were none on the 360, as far as I could tell. Then again, I was too busy force push/throwing everything in sight.

I'm thinking it's probably specific to a certain gaming system.

Well I know on Bespin is when you first get the modified bounty hunter costume, which borrows Mando armor, but I didn't see any Mando NPCs on the 360.

But like MandoMan, I wasn't keeping a look out for any, just busy wreaking havoc on everything.

On the Death Star there are two sets of rings which contains 3 rings each. They spin around in an atom type of movement which amplifies the Death Star's main weapon. Starkiller is suppose to use the force to align them in a way that will disable the weapon. The Death Star stage is after pulling the Star Destroyer ship down from the sky on PS3.

The game specifically says, "Mandalorians," and the boss on Cloud City is a Mandalorian named Choop'aa or something like that. He's also on one of those Ballisk things.

Does anyone know if there are different endings for the psp and at what point in the game do you choose which one to follow?
I have the PSP version, too

Different ending if you go toward Palpatine instead of Vader (ending was mentioned in one of the posts above). I just defeated Palpatine tonight, but will eventually redo it to defeat Vader. Right now I am unlocking all the characters...Dooku, Aayla, Asajj, Windu, etc

PSP did have the Mandalorians on Bespin and wore the mandalorian armor from that point on (and when I replay the game again since you can keep outfits/powers/etc).

But did not come across the Darth Maul part. When is that supposed to happen?

I think that was right before you bring down the Star Destroyer.

I bet the LucasArts team planned the differences in system versions just to laugh at all the confusion they caused in internet discussions.

"It's right after you align the rings on the Death Star."
"What? I never did that. I'm pretty sure it was when you fought the Mando's on Cloud City."
"Uh, that wasn't even in the game. You're thinking of when you fight Maul before bringing down the Star Destroyer."
"What Star Destroyer? Are we even playing the same game?"

I finished the PS3 version last night after defeating Vader then Palpatine. It was a very entertaining game in my opinion but I'll play it again at a higher level each time just to see what the game will dish out. CLICK HERE for TheForce.Net's poll on TFU.

Mandoman I have to agree with you there about Lucaarts. They have had to do diference to keep the games different so people would want to buy every version....sly people over there

I preordered this from Target to get the cool wall graffix for our son. I haven't had much time to play it, but the time that I have had to check it out it seems to be pretty decent. Not a glitches for me.
I'll admit to loving other games it bit more, Gears and Army of Two but I love looking at the scenery and the goings on around you.
I had a tie fighter almost land on top of me as it came crashing out of the sky!!
On a personal note I am looking forward to Gears II come November!!! Bring IT!!!

I got it for the ps2(cause that's all I have that I can get the game on) and I would say the graphics are comparable to the JKJA games, I only experienced one glitch and I cant replicate it, Iw as rushing around and I ran into a tie wing(first SA mission) and got suck.

But yeah some things seem off but so far I have played it oh 5 times now and Iam missing 12 jedi holos. I love it, and I dident read anything about it except maybe a couple bits and pieces, I don't look into games before I have the game itself. That way I can be disappointed on my own and not let someone disappoint me before I even play the game.

I've got TFU for the 360 and haven't experienced any glitches. I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The story so far has been strong, as has the art design. The levels are gorgeous, and it's great to see the original trilogy look to everything. Of particular note, remember the security room on the Death Star the heroes hold up in for a bit? R2 uses it to discover the Princess. It's large with a big red stripe across it. A very 70's "high-tech" computer. Well, see that in the game just won me over completely!

(It's a lot better than the prequels so far i feel.)

    Spoilers

well i love it! beat it already. fantastic story. great ending. the graphics are pretty good (PS3) all & all ill definetly play it many more times.
ive experienced only three glitches. i fell through a wall twice and a major *** glitch. i was fighting the emperor and i was against the sheild wall and he threw one of those things at me. it knocked me through the sheild wall and to the floor below where i could no longer fight back. it gets even stranger from here though. so i just wait for the emperor to kill me with lightning so i can start the fight again. he kills me and then it restarts me fighting not the emperor but vader (what you do if you choose the darkside instead of good) and when vader kills me im still restarted fighting him & not the emperor
so i had to restart the saved game inorder to finnish the game as a jedi.
tell me that aint a problem

Hear! Hear! I second the motion!
I got a really nice liquid cooled overclocked custom PC... that can't run force unleashed.
(It'll run crysis at top FPS and resolution tho how many of you console gamers can say THAT! haha)

Ok question for anyone whos beat it or far along.

    SPOILER

How in the world do you pull down the star destroyer! I've tried countless times and always get shot down by the TIE fighters is there something special you have to do? I've got it close but then I keep having to retreat so I dont get killed.

Yeah, that part was NOT fun.

What you have to do is use the analog sticks to align the Star Destroyer directly towards you. Most of the time, the little icons on the bottom telling you what to do are WRONG. Just keep moving them around until it's facing you, and once the little icons say to pull down, pull both sticks down and hold them as long as you can. When the tie fighters come in and start shooting, take care of them fast. Repeat until the cutscene takes over.

Oh, and you REALLY have to take those ties out fast, while you're doing that, the SD realigns itself. If the SD goes too far off to one side, you're better of starting over.

Re: The Force Unleashed: Whats Your Verdict?

God of War 3= The Force Unleashed.

At least, from what I played on the Wii version, I hope it is better for the 360.
Man that game was boring, repetitive, and the graphics were horrible (I know it is the Wii, but those things could have been way better, it reminded me of Jedi Academy, except that game was good) .

We bought the Wii version the first day it was available. This is the first time I have ever attempted to play a 3D video game, LOL. Yes I admit it. I am having a good time, for a long overdue newbie.

I do wish there was a 2 player function in the game. I am hooked now. It will probably take me forever to get to the end. Maybe I never will. *sigh*

all right, thanks. My friend got really close last night but its hard near the end when it seems like Rom never tells you to pull it down anymore and you waste most of your time realigning it.
