now you are almost ready to start learning things
Congrats
Congrats on finishing (and the weight loss).
Not sure if I should be congratulating you on heading for Arizona just as summer starts, though.
But, but...it's a dry heat ;P
Congrats on finishing Basic! Good to hear from you!
Congrats!.
And only 23 years after i finished mine, what took you so long? LOL
Thanks everyone!
Slave1pilot, I wasn't even alive 23 years ago :P
I got to Arizona last night, and I'm just chillin. Won't be doing anything until probably tuesday. My only real concern here is the PT, but everything else is fine for me. IDK, I might be worrying too much :/
Whats your MOS?
And congratz BTW!!

I'm not sure if that MOS existed when I was in, lol. What exactly is that?
lol I'll be staring at satellite images to basically identify everything about the area, terrain, weather, exit/entry points, etc.
Congrats, bruv! What MOS are ya going to AIT at FJ for?![]()

Don't think it existed when i was in either.
we barely had maps back then. mostly used Indian scouts since we were on horseback way back then.

Nope, we used cave paintings and the ink of indian paint rocks to do all our "imagery".... lol XD
Congrats! Wow that sounds like a good job. I was 74D NBC. Miss the Army. You at Ft. Huachuca (spelling?) PT is not that bad in the heat. I actually had my fastest run times in the hottest weather. Good Luck
Congrats TC!!!
Thanks guys!
Arizona is not too bad. It feels nice to not be sweating nearly as bad a I would be back in south Florida!
The only issue is the elevation makes me feel like a fish out of water when I'm running. Other then that, it's actually quite nice here. We are surrounded by mountains, which I'm not used to, but we are going hiking tomorrow up one of the mountains. Can't wait!
As for ft. Jackson, I was part of alpha 3/60. I couldn't have been any luckier. The cadre there are awesome as well as for the company commander. He is a great motivator and really helped not only myself but everyone. I cannot thank him enough!
Ah, the River Raiders... I've been assigned to B, F, and E 3/60. Never been in Alpha but helped them out on a few ranges. What a great accomplishment for you. I always enjoyed Graduation Day, not just because of a cycle break but too see young soldiers going on to do good things in the Army. When I was in Afghanistan I ran into some soldiers I had for BCT which was pretty cool. You never know when you'll run into your DS's down the road.
Good luck in your career.
