Just wanted to take a few seconds to show off my newest addition, a real Mk.1 Webley Flare Gun!!! I've been looking for one of these for a very long time and finally was able to score on on the RPF. i was lucky to be the first PM to the seller from the US, and it was mine!! YES!! So, it finally got here today, and I love it. I was VERY surprised how heavy it is, and i can see why JB had troubles on the set with it for long periods. ANyways, I've got it here and....now what? Do I attempt a conversion to a ROTJ EE-3? Possibly an ESB EE-3? Leave it behind glass? I already have offers to have castings made of it, and flat out cash offers. It hasn't even been a day yet!! Anways, I thought I'd share, enjoy!

Just saw yesterday the Storage Wars episode with Barry finding those flare guns; among those were a Webley Flare Gun too and I was drooling over as the guy, who appraised the flare guns, was holding the Webley in his hand.

Congratulations for the purchase of that beautiful Webley! It's hard to decide what to do with original parts and it is up to you which direction is the best. I have a Panorama hand telescope, and although this might not be a part used on the Supertrooper/Pre-Pro #1 sling gun, it's pretty close to it, and I think I will never consider using this to make a sling gun, especially that the telescope is still working and in almost perfect condition.

Nice catch gutting though as I was the one he was dealing with but being in the UK he decided at the 11th hour not to sell :cry

first order of business is go outside and shoot some flares. Then decide about Fett, lol. Congratulations on the score and good job on the photos. Thanks for sharing

That is a very nice piece Scott.

My .02 is that if you do anything with it, don't do anything that will damage or alter the original flare gun at all. Maybe make molds from it, but that is it. Think of how awesome that would look on display between well done ESB and ROTJ replicas. That would be sweet.

Wow that is a beautiful piece. Personally, as much as I'd love to have a real Webley conversion, I don't think I could bring myself to do anything to it if I had one in the flesh! Congratulations anyway, a lot of us guys on here have been searching for one of those for a long time!

Very nice piece.
If you plan to ESB it, Id recommend restoring it first, meaning taking off that nasty nickel/chrome finish the FBI put on her and having her professionally reblued. If ROTJ its a toss up
