BEHOLD : The shortest thread started by Fettpride ... EVER :wacko

Just a quick public service announcement :

It was brought to my attention this morning that it appears that former TDH member Fettdad
(Darrel Sanderson) may still be up to no good. For those that may not have been up on current
events, this is an on-going recasting issue that originated here :

I hesitate to do this, in such case that it is isolated and perhaps this is just his selling off a
few last pieces he may have had left over after the above fiasco. But it's still in poor taste.
Considering the evidence, I seriously doubt it will be isolated. But time will tell.

1. Item location is Oklahoma USA (Fettdad's Country and State of residence)
2. The items listed are recast items of my own, and Stormrider (Helmet Interior Kit)
3. Advertising on eBay Australia (an obvious attempt at trying to fly under the radar)
4. His eBay avatar is the same picture that he used for his TDH account
5. Items for sale advertised in "rubber" as was distributed previously as recast items
(rather than accurate vinyl resin)

Use the information as it is intended. A buyer beware warning. The holsters he's distributed
in his recasting endeavor outside of the techniques that myself and Stormrider use have been
shoddily made. Very thin walled and full of holes and voids. Consistent with the vast majority
of recast pieces we see every time this happens. You get what you pay for. The sad part is,
he's not selling them any cheaper than the original maker (myself), so you're getting far
less in craftsmanship than buying from the original maker for the same price.

For those of you that defended him, you may want to take a second look.

Best,

Chris

i hope you're right that he's just selling off some leftovers; and just trying to keep that low key by taking it to ebay Australia.

He was such a respected member of the community, and a long time member. I can hardly believe things went down like this. You can only hope that some kind of major financial difficulty drove him to a desperate state. I only had very limited dealing with him, but he always seemed like an A+ guy. Seems like he just never comprehended that what he was doing was wrong. If only he could have come to terms, apologize to Chris, and cease and desist manufacturing. Chris may have forgiven him, and he could still be a member here. I am just sad about this whole situation, and how it turned out.

Thanks for the heads up Chris.
Any problems re posting this on the Australian 501st Garrison pages? I know of a few Fetts in the making here, can't rely on them seeing this post.

Chris;
I am very sorry about all of this. I stepped away from the hobby for the past year to clear up some personal things, and I just read all the posts in the other thread. I dealt with Darryl on my blaster and was offered the holster in a PM (however I already had purchased yours, so I didn't need it). I really thought Fettdad to be a stand up guy when it came to this community. I thought wrong it appears. I (along with many others I'm sure) really appreciate all the hard work that you and others have put into making the most awesome props that we could put on our bodies. I've been building my Fett for over 4 years now and still have never put it on. I have almost all the items you have ever offered up to this community (with the exception of the GMH, which I do plan on purchasing) and have nothing but the highest regards for you and your work. I hope my humble opinion counts as I'm sure there are others with the same. Thanks again for what you do for ALL of us.
Mike out!
