The fett in person

Just for those who dont know, or arnt at C4... the actual suit (the SE Fett or special edition with ROTJ body and ESB helmet) is here. No glass, no barriers. My self, Darth Miller, and Spidey Fett are on the case getting HUNDRED of hi res photos and yes, even bending the ruels to get some pics that havent been gotten before.

A few things to notice when we start posting is,

1. The chest diamond has the raised portion like we all belive it origonaly had, this may be a repair and I am waiting on a confrimation from the archivest that I talked to for confrimation. As they belive this isnt a repair, but rather something else.

2. The knee darts have 3 fine grooves in the end portion. This isnt in previous pics.

3. The cape acording to the archivest has been on display inside out in every exhibit. I am trying to get a specail photo to show the weathering... ;)

4. the helmet has a battery pack with circut board and switch in it I never noticed.

We got close to this suit, like I said no glass, I will say this... we got to close... broke rules and it now has 3 security personel around it becase of me, but all for the sake of some good photos.

We will share all we have once we get them organized so stay tuened.

I will say this, all of our jump suits are under weathered by 1000%, our helmets need more over misting, and the red in person on the mandibles is almost brown with out flash photos. I plan to re work alot of my gear. :)

Did anyone stand on anyone else's shoulders to get a good top view?

Can't wait to see what you guys did.. I'm sure pics of you doing what you did to take these shots would be just as interesting..

Yeehhhaaa.. you are THE guys !!!

Amazing mates, I'm really dying to see those pics... amazing work guys ;) really really great !!!!

Talk about dedication, these guys are all over it. I've seen a few of the photos and they are awesome. It's becoming ever more difficult not to begin a Boba.

Outstanding!!! Looking forward to seeing those images, especially without any glass between! In regard to the grooves on the knee darts, do you mean there are finer grooves in addition to the three rings we have previously seen on the darts at the AoSW (see attached pic)? If so, that would be a really cool find as we only knew about the three grooves at the tips! It is also awesome that you were able to see into the pack! We have been able to so that at MoM but never with the AoSW suit due to the glass! Again, great job guys! Can't wait to see the pics!(y)(y)

The helmet is powered by small aa batteries that are in a harness attached by a 9v connector. The card (built on a breadboard about 2 inches wide) controls the timing of the LEDs no servos in this baby. The power switch appears in some of the ref cd's not sure if the card appears though. Yeah I would be curious to know about the grooves the only ones I knew about were the three Art pointed out above (Are there more?)

All the Best

Good stuff as the one that's currently in London could be from wherever then....?
I took lots of photos for you guys too, but what suit it actually is, who knows?

I took 250 pics with a 10x optical zoom. Myself Spideyfett and Evan4218 will be putting together a CD with all the pics for anyone who wants them in the future.

I can host them on a site so that we can all access them. That way they wouldn't only be available on a cd, that is if you were just planning on having them on a reference cd and not online at all.

But in that pic BB posted from AOSW, that was the left knee off one of the pre-pro suits. It wasn't an ROTJ knee anyway, so the ungrooved ones are more ROTJ accurate, correct?

Actually both knees of the AoSW/C4 suit had the grooved darts. The MoM suit has the ungrooved darts. If I recall correctly they aren't symmetrical grooves. I believe the front edge of the groove is perpendicular to the dart while the back edge is actually an angled cut. Evan, were there additional grooves or were these the grooves you were referring to?

BTW, here is the right AoSW knee.

I think the one in London would be the suit we commonly refer to as the MoM costume... an RotJ suit with the RotJ hero helmet.

The power switch appears in some of the ref cd's not sure if the card appears though.

I don't believe the full card appears in any of the current ref cds as it is too far in the top of the helmet. There MIGHT be one pic of the inside of the ESB hero helmet that shows it, but I can't recall.

WOW!!! That should be quite an interesting set of photos!!!!! Can't wait to see em. I hope you got some pics of you in your suit next to the real one Evan. Since your suit is really top notch, it would be interesting to see the difference between the two, and see what else can be done to make an even more accurate suit!!!

What!...I'M SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!..can't..wait...Thanks SO much guys! (y)
