Fett is apparently being played by ming the merciless

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Is Max Von Sydow's Character Boba Fett? - Overmental

[h=4]How old would Boba Fett be anyway?[/h]Boba was born shortly after The Phantom Menace, which is 32 years before A New Hope. Return of the Jedi is 4 years after A New Hope. And The Force Awakens is roughly 30 years after Return of the Jedi. So, if the math is correct, that should make Boba Fett a little less than 70 years old. Max von Sydow is 86, so if he is Boba Fett they’d be aging him up a bit, assuming this Boba Fett is the same one from the Prequels.
[h=4]Wait, didn’t Boba Fett die in Return of the Jedi?[/h]It’s widely accepted Fett crawled out of the Sarlacc pit before anything could really happen to him. After all, he’s too bad ass to go down like that.
[h=4]What role would he play in the movie?[/h]According to the Nerdist, Fett would no longer be wearing his armor and his identity would be hidden through cybernetic modifications due to his injuries escaping from the Sarlacc. The Nerdist also claims we wouldn’t discover Fett’s true identity until the third act.

well there is always wishful thinking!! I really hope he is in the new films, even if he isn't in the armor. :ninja

Yeah I don't think he'll be in the new movies either. However stranger things have happened in movieland. And he's a very, very popular character so there could be plenty of opportunity for them to make some new merchandise.

As much as id love it, i doubt they would put him in these new movies. I think if they want to use him, they will put him in one of the spin off movies as the timelines of those can vary. thats my 2 cents lol

Fetts offspring done in tailored light grey leather with quilted details and a jetpack would be a great transition. :jetpack

Very similar to the conceptual designs but done in battle worn grey leather.

Maybe Boba Fett is a special clone, in that he never ages after a certain point, or that he has several younger clones in stasis, that he can transfer his conscience to when his current body is either too old, or damaged?
Yoda and Chewbacca are really old compared to the humanoid characters, so it could be that even other characters are older than they look.
Remember, this is a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away!

I'd tend to agree with the folks saying that an unarmored Fett is not something I want to see. Hopefully rumors are just that, rumors and that character is something way different. :ninja

I thought I read that Von Sydow is going to be an Ex Imperial officer ( the one from the crashed Star Destroyer) who has turned his back on what he empire stood for, or something like that.
I took the Fett article as conjecture to lure us all in.
