Fett Fake on cosplay.com with TDH Members' Pics

I reported it as well, but the best thing to do, for any of you who are members at cosplay.com, would be to start a thread in the Site Headquarters section. That will draw attention to it faster - also send a PM to "Admin" who owns the site.
They take care of these things pretty fast - there's been plenty of instances of people stealing pictures of Japanese cosplayers and claiming to be them - it never works! :lol:
 
I love how his costume changes every shot. Different backpack, guants, color on the suit, the helmet.

He has a "welded aluminum blaster and jet pack" Those would be pretty darn heavy and this has got to be the RICHEST 17yo I know! Those Bobas are pricey!
 
Look at what I've started! :lol: I reported him right after I made the initial post as well. What a loser.

I also love how he has pics of a Fett that was supposedly taken at Anime Boston. I was there (unfortunately) and not only was there no Fett there but the background of the pic resembles no part of the AB venue.
 
I think the reason his costume changes so much from phot to phot is that he probably doesn't realise that each one is different. If he has never built on then he probably doesn't know the difference between ESB and ROTJ. This guy is such a joke, he couldn't even research his subject before making up such a lie. If you are going to lie then at least be good at it !!!!!
 
hey guys. this is SOOOO lame. i sent the guy a message on his personal site about how we all know he's stealing credit from us. so, we'll see what he says.
 
Sitting in class right now, but guess what? The image he had of the Don Post statue that I called him out on -- he deleted it. Either that, or the mods did. Looks like he's getting the point that thieving is not something he should be doing. However, all the other images are still alive...

EDIT::: And for being a 17 year old, from Missoula, Montana, how'd he make it all the way to Boston?! lol... geez.

I'm guessing it's not true, but still... if we're putting the vise on this guy, might as well clinch it.

But srsly, that's really lame that he is trying to take credit for outfits that aren't his. And I also laughed at his "$200; sometimes quality isn't cheap" comment. All I've bought for my costume so far is caboots, a visor, a RFstalk, and a helmet, and I'm at $330. Don't even want to think about how much it will cost me for full BM armor. So to say he paid $200 for that ENTIRE thing is an outright lie.

Not like he's taking credit for any of my stuff, it still irks me and I feel for the other members here who he is ripping off.

If blatantly lying like that helps him sleep at night, whatever then. But it's still wrong! This guy = sith spit.

He is a liar. Period. He did not "photoshop" any of the images. He stole them, as they were, from here in the TDH image gallery. They are exactly the way I posted them over a year ago. Geesh!
 
I have to laugh at the line of the $200 Fett costume! I need to find out where I can get me one of those! I spent WAY too much for mine!

Sheesh. What a baffoon! I'm sorry this guy's acting like such a jerk. Ok, that's it, bounty on his head!
 
This is sad.

I dont understand why people try to take credit for other people's work - especially on the internet where its very easy for the original owner/creator to find it and call shenanigans.

Hopefully he will take them down.

Oh yeah, B freakin' S! He was intending to pass those photos off as him in the costumes the whole time. With captions on the photos like "this is ME at an anime convention in Boston" (or something like that) you could easily tell that's what he was trying to do. In no way did he make it clear that he was "fixing the pix and giving them better quality".
I think he's realized that he was caught in a lie, and that's why some of the pictures have been taken down.
 
It is funny, if you go into his profile...it lists how many costumes and pics he had, you go into them, they are all gone. No pics, no nothing.

Yeah man, owned. Either he's now scared of being exposed as a fraud and is trying to get rid of unwanted attention, or the mods over there had some due diligence and took affirmative action.
