Boba Fett Comfirmed For Live Action Series

For those of you who have yet to read through your latest edition of Star Wars Insider, Rick McCallum has comfirmed that Boba Fett "will be an instrumental part" of the upcoming live action series per an interview inside...Insider.

In addition, 4 artists are currently working on designs for the series. Two writers from the UK, one from Austrialia and three from the US are on board but a planned meeting in November was postponed due to the writer's strike. Lucasfilm is considering making an intependant deal with the WGA that could get their writers back to work before the strike ends. (Like what David Letterman has done) They're still hoping for a late 2009 premiere.

Hmm. . . I'm hopeful, but wary about having any major film characters in the TV series. :doh
There's still a looooong way to go till the series premieres, so who knows what news will leak out between now and then.

So FP, does this have anything to do with that secret you mentioned before? lol

There was a poster not long ago, that said 2008/2009/2010 that had three sections horizontally.. the 2008 had a Fett helmet, which is why I've always thought Fett would be a huge part of the live action. one of the other two had an animated Yoda... I cant seem to remember the other section :/

I predicted that "Boba" will make a appearch in the first few episodes(to help the ratings go sky high) than it will branch off into some other character along the lines of a Mandalorine character.I dont see Lucas spending time developing a TV series around "Boba".But I am proably wrong

Wow, sounds interesting. I'm pretty sure Star Wars should be laid to rest though. When this show airs though, I really hope they pull it off well, and we don't get something lame. Good luck to us all!

I am excited about it personally. The clone wars cartoons were good (from what I hear) so why shouldn't this?

Realy, he doesnt have to take his helmet off now does he...

They probably would want someone who looked more like Temura than Daniel, as Boba will be rather grown up by this stage...

Who knows, Logan might still do it though... Lets just hope it is good enough to compliment the rest of the Boba Fett appearances (minus the Holiday Special of course, Friend :D roflmao)

I'm sure there will be some EU in the mix, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing at all. I remember reading a quote of George Lucas' that said he was going to direct the first season, but then he had planned to hand it off to other directors after that and sink back to become overseer, just to make sure it stays in the spirit of Star Wars. I think that, coupled with the much lower budget, could either ruin it, or make it the best thing since the originals.

Also, I've heard Daniel Logan was confirmed as the role of Boba Fett. I'm fairly certain its on the IMDB page for the Star Wars TV show. I've seen a few pictures online with Daniel Logan actually wearing a couple of different Fett costumes. The first is sort of a weird mash-up between ESB and RotJ Boba, which I've posted. And the second is just the ESB, but the pictures actually had a TDH watermark, so maybe those have already been posted here before? Of course this doesn't mean it will be the costume worn, but I think because they're trying to keep it in the spirit of Jango, Daniel Logan actually looks okay in the suit, but I guess the question is if he will reprise his role in the end, and if so, if he's any better an actor than he was in AotC. :rolleyes

Rick McCallum already ruined Star Wars once, let's hope he doesn't do that again.

We've heard from a good sourse, Mr Logan himself, that Daniel Logan was confirmed by Uncle George for this role a while back.

I talked to Daniel about it a few months ago when he was in Syracuse. He said he would gladly take the role if offered. I then asked if he has been offered, and he wouldn't say yes or no. He would laugh and keep trying to change the subject. My guess is that he has been in talks for the role.

No offense to Daniel Logan, but I think he looks terrible as Boba in that picture posted above. As he's grown, he doesn't look a thing like Temuera Morrison now and I'd hate to think they are just using him for continuity's sake. His nose, hairline and facial features are too unlike Temuera's now, they'd be better off finding someone new who looks closer to Morrison.

Daniel Logan was a complete jerk to me at CIV - I'd like to punch that kid in the face... Sorry for the hijack! Had to get that off my chest.

Why not just cast Tem as Boba.
I cant imagine that he would turn down a tv series, its not like people are banging down the guys door for movie roles....

I was at the Hyatt bar one night after the convention center was closed (this was at CIV)- Daniel Logan comes over and looks at me and says "You are going to buy me a drink" - he literally demanded it. I had no idea he was even under age. Well I kinda shrugged and said "whatever".

He snaps his figures at the bartender. And he says "put this on his tab" He then proceeds to order 6 mix drinks.

I told him I never agreed to buy him anything. So of course some other guy comes and rushes over and says "No, I will pay for them! Don't worry about it"

Well I walked away from the bar sat down in a chair next to Temuerra and I was saying bye to Mike Kingma (Tarful) and Shannon McRanndal (Mara who actually lives in VA) - because we were there chatting for a couple of hours. Well Daniel looks at the fat guy sitting near me and gives him a nod (which I guess was his guard or bouncer...no idea). He (the fat guy) looks at me and said - "Get up" ... I said give me a second I am not done here. He looked at me again and said "I'm not kidding! NOW!"

I laughed at him (I probably had one too many at this point...courage in a bottle?) ... and finally got up and left after saying bye.

I know all of that sounds like a huge joke, but I have no reason to lie about it. That's pretty much how it all happened. There were a couple of other guys I was with who could attest to the whole story.

A TDH member had asked soemthing along the lines of:
Will Boba be in the Live-action TV show, and if yes, will he be played by Daniel Logan?

The person he had asked this to (it was a panel at some con) merely said "yes" and took the next question.

Any image of Daniel in a Fett suit is not an offical pic. I believe he has worn armor owned by one TDH memebr or another for a quick shoot of 4-5 pics.

I look forward to this show, should be promising..... I just hope they dont stick on a channel I can't get like Sci-fi or something similar......

Yes, I admit that I'm stuck with the basic 4 channels: Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS. It stinks :(

he was a jerk at Dragon one year too. another con goer and myself were taking pictures of a Maul posing with Ray Park (Ray didnt charge for those of us standing around to take the picture or anything, since that guy was buying an autograph...

Daniel was standing near the picture and the guy to my left was at more of an angle than I so he got Daniel in the shot to (maybe he planned it, but who cares, half of the jerk is in my picture too. i shopped him out hehe) He accused the guy of it and was like, where's my 5 bucks or whatever the charge was for a picture. He tried to play it off as joking after Ray looked at him like he was nuts... but I bet if he was next to someone else non-Star Wars and that would have happened he would have tried harder to get the money out of the guy.

So I skip his table , dont even talk to him. And he waves his arms into a few other peoples pictures.

Bleh. I just chalked it up to the fact he was like 14 or whatever at the time. But I dont think it sounds like he's grown out of it at all.

He was on his cell phone yelling at the hotel for charging like $14 in drinks to his tab, and told them to change the charges to Ray Parks room... He was literally screaming and cussing at them for a $14 charge for drinks. This was a few minutes after we were leaving the Hyatt bar(I think my wife had to use the restroom before we left so as we were leaving he was standing near the elevators on his phone).

Oh well, too bad Uncle Lucas doesnt know he's a word thats banned from use on this forum that starts with PR.

Everyone, Temuera Morrison is in his early 40's I think. Daniel Logan is 21 I think. I'm 20, and know that Daniel is older than me. so they may just have Daniel Logan playing Fett in his younger years. They may use Temuera later.

As far as Daniel being a jerk goes, I'll take it into consideration before I meet him. I've heard a couple stories about him being a jerk. Yet I have met Ray Park, and He's a great guy. He and Jeremy are apparently the most active with the fans. Don't pass up the chance to meet either of them.
