Fanboys the numbers are in!!!

"In a limited bow, Weinstein genre label Third Rail Releasing unspooled the "Star Wars"-themed caper film "Fanboys" in 44 theaters and rung up $164,000, or an acceptable $3,736 per venue." That was taken from the box office report. To put those numbers in perspective, The Pink Panther 2 with a major advertising push only managed $3,700 per venue!!! SO LETS SEE A WIDE RELEASE ALREADY!!!!

That is great news, I was hoping that it did well. I would like to see it but I really didn't to travel 2 hrs. Perhaps it will be showing locally soon.

I've just seen Fanboys and have to say, bravo. It brought a smile to my face, a laugh to my voice and tear to my eye, sometimes all at the same time. Lots of cameos and it looked like everyone had fun making this movie.

lol I just want it to hit dvd and become a flop or a cult classic already :P

that way if it is widely accepted we'll get an awesome sequel (assuming this one is great of course)

According to the Fanboys website it's coming May 19. But who knows... That may be May 19 of 2015.

No you have it backwards, it's coming out May 19, 2009, but only in like four select cities as a sampling on how well it "might" do if released in other locations. Personally I'm looking for a "meh" performance.

does this mean it may hit the shores of the UK eventually then - would rather see it at the cinema than on DVD mind you....

it should be out pretty soon because the dvd rip is already out on the piratebay.

Man I hope it gets to NZ..... Probably just on DVD though....

why did it never get a wide release? it probably would have done better than aotc.

it's a nationwide dvd release on may 19th.

A friend of mine has his allready! Original, not pirate ****.

I saw the movie and I liked it a lot, can't wait to buy mine.
