DSD - Stormtrooper Quote T-Shirt Interest Thread...

Alright gang, here we go... Many of you have been VERY patient waiting for
these. This is gonna be the first of several Star Wars related shirts I will be
printing over the next several months. There are many of the older TDH
crew that own several of the original runs of these shirts, so they can
vouch for the quality. I will likely reprint most or all of the ones I've done
previously, with several new ones thrown into the mix.

We are gonna start with the Stormtrooper. They are going to be printed on
a smoke grey shirt with a black ringer collar and sleeve. The helmet will be
printed on the front with the quote on the back. I need a minimum of 25
shirts in order to print these. We can get these printed in child, youth and
adult sizes up to 4XL.

My normal price is $23 shipped anywhere on the planet ($26 for 2XL or
larger). If you're interested in one of these, simply post here or PM me
letting me know the size and quantity you would like. Shirts will likely be
printed in a couple weeks.

Cool design! I'm not as much of a TK freak as I am a Boba freak. . . but I always thought it was BT-16.

Edit: Upon further review, while I have the VT-16 part correct, the rest of the
quote needs modification. It should read, "You seen that new Vt-16?" I'll fix that
and change the artwork before it goes to print.

Just a little background on the quotes. I find it fun when a really obscure
quote appears on the back of the shirt. One that prompts the non-geek to ask,
"What the heck does that mean?" On the first run of these, the quote that
appeared on the back was "There's one, set for stun!" There are plenty of
good TK quotes, but this one is about as obscure as you can get. Us geeks
get it, that is all that really matters, right?

It can truly be said that these shirts are made BY geeks, FOR geeks!

Just to make everyone aware... If you are interested, just state the quantity and size you would like so I can add you to the list. I print the quantity and sizes requested with just a handful of extras. I'm not interested in printing 200 shirts and slowly unloading them. These could be considered to be limited editions... without the hand numbering or certificate of authenticity.

It is a District Threads shirt. the official specs are: 6.1-ounce, 100% cotton pigment-washed body for incredible softness. Sewn-on reactive-dyed collar and cuffs for great contrast. Pre-shrunk; double-needle hem for lasting wear.

I am sorry for not keeping everyone tucked in. I was hoping to avoid going into too much detail... but my life is pretty messy at the moment. I am right in the middle of a pretty nasty divorce.

That does not mean these will not happen, I am just hessitant to start taking money when it may be a while before these get printed. I don't want to upset people by making them wait a little longer than originally anticipated.

Please be patient and I will send out payment requests when I am a little closer to printing these. Best guess, it will likely be within the next couple weeks.

I am SOOOO sorry gang. If I have not said so before, I will say it now... DIVORCE SUCKS!!! You are right, I am normally not this bad. I have had three of the worst months of my life. That does not excuse me sitting on this project as long as I have. I hope you can all forgive me for the MAJOR delay.

The shirts have been printed. They are still at the printers. I will making a trip up to get them this next week. They will start shipping just as soon as I get them. Please post here when they start showing up.

Again, I am VERY sorry about the delay. I hope this hasn't scared any of you away from getting a shirt in the future. I do have several designs ready to go and hope to do at least one a month.

It seems like every other month he turns up for a minute to give us an apology and say the shirts should be ready soon. I feel bad for the guy, but that is not the way to do business. I don't have a lot of disposable income, ( I work, my wife stays home with our 3 1/2 year old and our 1 year old......plus we have another on the way) and money is tight right now. Maybe I'm just having bad luck with ordering t shirts this year. My tenth anniversary legion shirts were sent out over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten them yet.

Anyway Preston, my thoughts and prayers are with you brother.

That's me. Preston and I maintained regular contact a while back and coordinated participation in a charitable event each September for children with Downs Syndrome. Last year was the last time I chatted with him, what with his divorce and all. We've spoken on the phone before but his number is not good anymore and I don't know if he still lives in the same city. I can try and find him tomorrow. Unfortunately he hasn't contacted me for the event this month (Uptown Downs Buddy Walk), which he normally did each August so I'm at a loss as to how to find him. I'll see what I can do this week.
