    Dragon Con pictures

    How come nobody has started a thread with DragonCon pics yet? I didn't get to go and I always like seeing pics of what went down there, and get an idea what to expect next year.

    I arrived in town around 3:30 on Friday. After unloading the truck, and checking in to my room, I break out my Commander Gree armor and hit the circuit.

    (Thanks to TD-4694 for taking those!)

    Saturday morning was the parade… this year was awesome because I had two BARC troopers backing me up. While I don't have pictures, one of the highlights of the parade was a full-on Mad Max group, complete with the battle wagon with the two corpses up front and the hockey mask muscle dude. Search Flicker, you'll see 'em. Thousands upon thousands of people lined the streets.

    Here's some misc costumes that looked great on Saturday...

    Saturday night, I stumbled upon the most obvious, yet most appropriate costuming group I've ever seen. WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS!???

    The Team USA Drinking Team

    how about the Jew Man Group!

    This costume won first place in the masquerade, basically the 'Best of Show'. The Alien Nostromo space suit.

    Lycans!

    Strength and Honor.

    Ok, here's something for the ladies…

    Let's check out the HUGE G.I.Joe and Cobra group this year.

    Check out the B.A.T!

    …and here I am with the Commander himself.

    moving on to a few Star Wars related costumes...

    And a Steam Punk inspired Boba Fett

    speaking of Steam Punk, how about the X-Men?!
    (note: I didn't take this picture, but thought it was a nice photo of the group)

    Transformers…

    This Bumblebee was one of the best costumes all weekend. Totally articulate, with neat-o lights.

    Tony Stark.
    This dude was flying solo and passing out cards...

    But then the real Tony Stark showed up proper.

    Oh, Miss Pepper Pots you dirty birdie.

    I think you have to be a member of facebook and be logged in, but these links should work. It's in two chunks.

    Dragon Con 2009 - Part 1
    Dragon Con 2009 - Part 2

    I have JUST finished my Phase 2 501st Clone Trooper and this was the first time I even put it all on together! It came together really great and I could not be happier with it.

    Paralada.org presents Dragon*Con 2009

    Good evening,

    With the completion of the first round of caption requests, I am ready at last to share my own Dragon*Con 2009 Gallery;

    (Click on the banner to view the full gallery.)

    Here are a few highlights featuring TDH members and related characters;

    Kelgrim Forn and The Clone Emperor

    The Mandolorian Merc's fan table was fiercely guarded.

    A fine Boba Fett, at your service.

    Randy's Imperial Knight

    Astraal Vao, Imperial Knight Ganner Krieg, and Morrigan Corde.

    A holiday assortment of Mandalorian Mercenaries

    DURGE and a creative way to boost tv reception.

    Jango and the hired help, Zam Wesell.

    For my money, Danny is one of the best Steam Punk/Alternative history costumers around.

    Demon rocks the Mandalore's Pendant.

    Kimmy's Illyria makes for the perfect end cap to the gallery.

    To see a greater sampling of costuming at Dragon*Con I invite you to visit my gallery;

    (Click on the banner to view the full gallery.)

    Be well,
    Thomas
