Dragon Con

I thought I would bring this up again since we are just a little over two months away. Who is planning to make the trip to Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA?

My wife (Cutest Sandgirl) and I will be there as always!

Yup, my wife Lisa and I will be there...5th year in a row. Jodo and Zardra will make a return visit.

I want to go, but deadlines at work and my fiancee may keep that from happening.

Noone goes to that con. It sucks.

There's going to be quite a few Mercs customs at DragonCon. Probably 7-8 of us at least.

i'm going! i'll be part of a new england caravan. so far we've got around 10 people driving, and probably that many again flying.

The wife and I will be there, for some reason I just have to keep going to this thing year after year... must be all the hot little mamas.

I'm absolutely there.... rooming with Goro... from Japan!!!

Driving down as part of the NEG caravan too.

I currently plan on going ... possibly driving out again. But uhh, I don't think anyone else from Phoenix is up for a 1,900-mile drive.

I'm planning on being there... it will be my first D*C! Hopefully I'll have my Fett done in time. Also, just want to hang out and meet some of my fellow TDH'ers! (i guess that would be plural?) Whatever, just wanna meet some of the people here....

the wife and i will be there...it's just up the road for us! woo hoo!! not sure if my fett will be ready by then. work is taking up all my time. but i look forward to meeting some of the fellow TDH members. we should try to arrange a meeting time and place just to meet and greet. thanks, bert

yeah, but if you spend most of your day in a plane, i'd imagine you'd want a break from it on vacation

it's a 19 hour drive for me, but the flip side of that is no fuss over luggage at the airport. between boba, BSG and firefly stuff i'm bringing at least 6 guns. i'd hate to deal with that at the airport! especially since i'll probably bring my bronze / aluminum fett rifle, rather than the rubber one.

I certainly hope to be there. We will see.

Yeah... but it's a heckuva drive from AZ to GA. It's a 4 hour flight (if you get a direct flight like I have ). Sure I have to be at airport at 5 am... but hey! I can sleep when I get there. Oh wait... this is DC... we don't sleep.

But like TK-7602 said ... airport security. I really do not like the feeling of bringing 2 tubs full of Fett armor, jet packs, gauntlets with darts and remotes, and blasters as check-on bags. I'd rather drive if I could (besides, I like road trips quite a bit!)

Will be there. I'm just starting to get ideas for my custom, but I should be there with my Tie Pilot. Of course, along with me will be Asok and his wife, Dawn.

Yea I will be there as well. 4th or 5th year in a row for me. I never miss them since I started going.

Phhttt! You can skip WW Chicago. It pales in comparison to the all mighty Dragon*Con.

Yeah, WW-Chicago is a waste compared to D-Con. That isn't even a choice.

The downside of being a great Fett eh? All the gear?

I've only got the one blaster and a helmet to worry about - the rest is pretty easy. Personally, I would rather drive too... but Atlanta is just too far.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned it, but we should put together a meet and greet for some of the new people at TDH (such as myself) and for the people who just wanna catch up with old friends. Thoughts?

WW Chicago isn't bad if you live in the area, but I wouldn't make a long trip just for it....

We usually have a TDH dinner. Last years worked out really nice.

Im making it up this year. Im a DC virgin, so I'm really excited about it. I'm staying over in the Marriot, getting there on Thursday afternoon.

I should be there. I got my ticket and plan on staying with Zam I Am. I'm a DCon virgin, so please be gentle.

I'm really gonna try and make it to the TDH dinner this year. The last two years I've skipped out cause I was too busy at the con.

You better believe that is the truth! If anything requires responsibility, planning, thought, or effort... you can bet it is Mirax who is handling it... I am lucky if I even show up....and if I do I usually get all the credit! Without Mirax and several other responsible members we wouldn't have any events at all!
