does your woman know?

for the most part my wife is great about it. she gets a bit stressed if a lot of other things come through at same time, but for the most part as long as bills are paid, money is put in bank, and she has a bit for herself she's great. In a period of about 3 months she let me buy an entire jedi costume and a compact Rock island 1911 complete with holster and extra mag. So yeah I can't really complain.

My wife's great about it, it keeps me out of her hair at times. She also helped me decorate:

My wife looked at me like I had 2 heads at first but then she saw the charity side, kids smiling who have nothing much to smile about. Now she is a helluvalot more understanding.

I don't really tell her how much stuff costs & I don't think she really wants to know! I have a full TK, a few clone lids & now I've started my full SE Boba Fett. I did tell a little white lie about the price of the Boba lid... ;)

Here she is with me in my TK (though that is a TD bucket - I was entertaining the kids in the garden!)

My wife is the reason I started building a Jango kit. She thinks he's hot. The jango kit is already about 1/4 the price of my Boba kit and this one has actual metal panels.

My wife told me that whatever I spend on the 2 suits that are currently being built, I have to spend that much on her new ring.

Considering I built my helmet while deployed and my wife hasn't seen it yet, I would have to say she knows I made it for Halloween, but doesn't know yet about my plans to finish the kit. Ras, I am sure my wife would have the same reaction as yours. Not specifically a ring, although she never turns down jewelry, she would be satisfied with equal amounts for her to spend. I do need to enlist her help on the sewing machine when I return.

Yes my husband knows. I think he tolerates it. I've tried to get him into armor. Bought him Clone Armor from Kevin and it may end up mine or I'm gonna sell it.
By the way, I'm in the Fett.

My wife dosent mind at all really, this is my first suit but I have been collecting figures, props ect. For many years long before we meet also she is a huge star wars fan so that helps lol. Would never have wound up with her if she coundnt except something that has been such a big effluence in my life.

I think posting in this forum jinxed it :'(. Unfortunately she isn't my woman anymore. So keep your eyes on the cargo hold if you want a 90% complete ESB Boba. As it might be popping up soon.

Well hell Jay that really sucks brother who no's hopefully u won't have to sell it. Maybe the bounty hunter gods will simle down on u. If not hey brother there's always next time, good luck.

Hello folks! Long time no see! Well.....my previous wife stated that the money I put into the my costume was almost the same amount for the wedding ring. LOL! The truth is, I need a new suit.

I've got a full size Vader display, a Boba display, a Salacious Crumb, a Gremlin, a Howling werewolf bust, eleven other busts and helmets, numberous lightsabers, statues, premium format figures, blasters, and working with another member to get a full size Predator statue done. And a Yoda head will be on its way soon. And the other day I told my wife, "You know, I'm missing a stormtrooper. I really need to do a stormtrooper."

Her response was not about the money, though. She said, "And where would you put it?" :)

I'm grateful that my wife shares the same passion and love in starwars although sometimes she frowns at me spending money and time on costumes when it could be better utilized elsewhere. And yes she is also registered as an ID in the 501st legion like i'm :)

Here is a pic of wedding shoot done in starwars style...yeah i know bobafett would have being a better character for the mos eisley theme :p

My girlfriend is alright with me building my ESB Fett. When I first told her about building one, I think her initial reaction was 'what a big nerd'. But after I explain what the 501st is and the charity work they do, and after she had talked to a few people from the local garrison at an event she was on board. She knows I don't buy parts unless I have the money or it's a really good deal I can't pass up. She did a fine arts major in college and likes the aspect of what goes into building one of these costumes. She's currently building a Boushh for herself. So I think I'm safe on continuing my build :D

My husband mostly knows, he's just as geeky as I am! Together we have 7 approved 501st costumes, but we don't always tell each other the costs. ;)
