DO NOT USE DHL SHIPPING!

Ok this place has GOT to be the most incometent company EVER! I live in Ft Campbell, KY, they shipped my BM Jet Pack to Nashville, TN which is an hour away and claimed there was a request by the recipient (me) to pick it up there, I KNOW for a FACT that's a lie, cause I made no such request. NOW I need it today, but if I want it shipped to me, I got to wait til tomorrow cause their carries are "out on delivery" which I suspect is code for sitting at home on their fat behinds laughing at me. So NOW I get to waste my gas to make a 2 hr round trip drive just to get a package that was SUPPOSED to be sent to MY house, I think I'll see if I can get gas money from them.

Is it just me, or should I get 2 hours of their driver's pay for going and getting my own package cause he was too lazy/fat/retarded/incompetent to deliver the GD package himself?

Well,
It won't make you feel any better but I have had bad luck with UPS, DHL, and USPS. All three have dropped off packages at the wrong house!!!! My house sits on a corner. Two other houses have the same house number but different street. Luckily for me they are within a block either direction.

Hmm...we use DHL here at work, and I personally sent a few items from here with DHL as well. Never had any problems and nothing broken. Strange.

My understanding---through the grapevine is that DHL bit off more than they could chew when they bought Airborn Express. DHL recently (last 6 months or so) approached UPS to have UPS buy them out. UPS said no way in so many words, and FedEx may be buying them.

They all suck at one time or another.

They all definitely have their shortcomings but I have to agree that DHL is at the very bottom of the heap. I have had more problems with them than any other. My preference order is:

Fed Ex
UPS/USPS
DHL

I have worked as a shipping co-ordinator in the past and I have seen how all of these particular companies operate. All have their problems stem from employees with attitude problems, drivers that have sh*t wages and sh*tty hours. DHL would be my least favouite.

OK I drove down to Nashville just to find that they ended up shipping said jet pack TO base which aggravated me to NO end as I supposedly had them leave a note to the office to put it in front of the store for me. SO I drove back, and it did come, unbroken thank god, but the hassle makes me wish great painful events for everyone employed there that was involved in this fiasco.

My main probolem would be that their trucks are to good for the road, and they use flat bed railroad cars for them.

I know some of the DHL guys, so I can't say much. :p

When in I lived in Virgina Beach I had a half dozen or so items shipped to me via DHL. They didn't have drivers at that time because I had to go to the airport everytime and pick them up. I didnt really enjoy it and have never used them myself since.

Our local UPS driver is a dropper, meaning he drops everything on the floor instead of setting them down. Had a few computer parts damaged from him. So that only leaves FedEx for me
