Didn't have it in me to put this in the actual costume area...
Just thought I would share. I figure that since the series I run is called "Lap Battle," I should figure out something a bit safer than just a normal helmet.
So Mandalorian Armor it was ;)

PS- This was about a 2 hour project at most so don't get after me for small details ;)

Nice! After I finish this Sgt Fang that I've been very slowly working on for 4 months, I may have to do this to one of my old motorcycle helmets. When people hear that I have a motorcycle and a Fett costume, they usually ask if I wear the Fett helmet to ride.

^haha thanks guys. Yeah I didn't put a ton of effort into it as I am getting a new helmet next season anyway. I will actually airbrush that one and try to make it a little better. I got a lot of comments at the track though haha. I will try and find pics from the event and post them.

Isn't there some sort of semi-transparent vinyl that you can apply to visors and still see through them? I saw a movie Iron Man helmet on the web the other day and it blew my mind. Something like this could be done with a Fett bucket.
By the way, great job. :)

^Thanks. I'm not really concerned with those overlays because the last thing I want is to limit visibility on a race track to look cooler.
I think there are a number of options, but they are still like the ones they use on commercial vans and things so they aren't 100%. Plus the helmet technically is the wrong shape for a Fett Helmet regardless so I figured I would be able to live with it like that.
Here is a shot of it in action from last weekend:
