Dented Helmet coin

Anyone have a line drawing of the Angels? I think Brak's latest would look really good in a stamped format with a true 3D image of the Angels logo with no color added. Just a bronze coin ala the Pathfinder's one.

I definately like the last one that Brak's posted. But IMO, colors don't look good on coins. If it was just a black on bronze that would be cool.

I think the chest display and silhouette are good looking.

Personally, I agree with the idea of the Angels on one side, and BOBA's Helmet on the other, just like one of those shirts that say "GOT ARMOR?" with the generic Mandalorian helmet on it (not necessary Boba or Jango or even custom). Just my 2 cents.

Someone had suggested that the coin should only have black on it, and no color, more like an original coin instead of the newer, trendy coins. Here is the front without color. The light areas are the raised areas.

I don't know I really like color on them. The just coin color is so blah.

Ditto. The enamel coins are fantastic. Personally, I'll pass on a TDH coin if it's not in color.

here's my opinon-

I like the "angels" side and the closeup profile on the other.

I like the profile because it remenicent of a real coin.

I like the idea of no color mainly because what color would you use in the recesses of the Fett side other then black?

My vote goes to the last pic BB posted. Was thinking about that side profile shot of fett last night, Kinda a traditional style for a coin, i log on to TDH this morning and TA da! there it is... Would definately be up for a couple of these

I'm in for one coin definitely.
I like the logo on one side and the dent on the other..
Boba's silhouette looks good too

but really ... I'd get (at least)one whatever the final design is going to be.

I still like the either the dent or the chest display on the other side, but I will live with the full color profile of Boba brak's posted. But I will be less happy then something random that no one else would understand.

I think that Fett should be ESB....

I keep thinking the dent should be done on the coin.

That's what I thought the plan was when somebody mentioned the dent. It would be amazing to have the coin actually dented, but is that gonna cost quite a bit more to do?

I think I could have them put a dent in the coin. I would need to call and ask.

Just my suggestion, but how about the dent as posted above on one side, no writing or words on the dented side, just the picture by itself, and then on the other side the "angels" pose as seen on the previous posts?
I would think that would be cool and would totally include the forum as a whole.

While I tend to be in favor of having Fett on the back, if we were to have the dent itself, we would need someone to sculpt it (a VERY shallow dent) and send it to the company wouldn't we?

I haven't chimed in yet, but wanted to say that having just the 'dent' on one side might be a little vague to those who aren't Fett-heads. I understand the coin is mostly for TDH members, but at some point, these will be traded, collected and sold. The design has to represent the board, but also be recognizable to those who would treasure such a coin enough to trade for it.

I like the Angels logo with wording on one side. How about that standard 'generic' helmet logo we see so much on eBay for the other side? It might be a bit more recognizable than the dent, and it isn't Boba- or Jango-specific (sorry Zammers).

I don't like the dent idea. Not only is that too obscure even for me, but it's also very boba-centric.

A generic mando helmet like BatNinja posted would even tentatively embrace customs.

I'm just a dent kind of guy. Who had the teapot with the Dent in it? Now that was funny. Coin with a dent, I still like it. But I also understand why some collectors would want something more recognizable.

Well I like the dent for a couple of reasons, one and this is a big one our board is called TheDENTEDhelmet.com. It was started as a Boba Fett costumeing board and the other hunters came later so the dent reminds us of our past while the Angel logo represents what we have become. So, and I know I have said it a number of times, my vote goes for Dent on one side and the angels logo on the other with the website on that side.

Aye, Dent and Angels.

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen...I want this...hands down...

They can do a dent in the coin.

What about the Idea of using the Imperial Font (seen in Jedi) instead of English. This may make it cooler and more universal.

I think that we should not use the web adress as it may change or be a thing of the past, while the name itself would never die. Just a thought.

But when I think of coins that are painted on with enamel, I think of something that will feel and look like it's plastic. Is this a problem or is it just in my head?

You mean like a poker chip??? If they are anything like the 501st challenge coins, theres no way you will mistake them for plastic!!!! THey are pretty heavy, and I'm shure the outside ring will remain bare metal. It depends on what they end up doing with the final design, but I'm guessing that most of the areas that have raised lines will be outlined with bare metal as well.

Can someone do up a large image like the one Bob did for the dented version of the coin? Then we can all start voting?

I agree completely with Gilmore, Webchief and MandalorFett. The profile of Fett is much, much more "Fett" than a dent. While a "dent" might be cool, the profile of Fett conveys far more of Fett's mystique, IMHO

Any word on this? I think I'm ready for a vote.

I like the Angels / Fett side profile for the coin but maybe we could clean the fett side up a little so it matches the angels side? And maybe we could do the "dent side" on another coin down the track! They could be done annually? Just a thought. Oh, and i'm ready for a vote as well.

Sorry about the ****** quality i'm fairly new to photoshop but here's some ideas I was tossing around. For the black and red I thought it would be cool just have the black coloring on metalic red coin. Enjoy and improve!

At this rate we'll never see a TDH coin....

The Mods should come up with a deadline for submissions and then we should vote.

There are some good ideas, thought. But IMHO, I think we've come to the point where there are enough ideas displayed, and now it's time to vote on what each of us likes the best.

I have some more desings in the works as we speak, I will start a new thread with all the designs for vote by this weekend., if that's OK with everyone.

The poll thread is locked, so I thought I would bump this one for a (hopefully) innocent inquiry into the status of the winning design.

I think Asok is working on this.

The artwork has been sent out to the company to have process started. With the 12 + in of snow and ice we got in the week things are a little slow.

If I may I came up with an idea that I would like to see on a coin. I definately want a few if these come out. See what you think, thanx

While the design you made is very nice you are a couple of weeks too late. The final design has been voted on and approved. Check the stickie thread at the top of the Pit to see the winner.

Wanted to give you guys an update on the coin. First, we got back a proof based on my original design and it was.... less than what we had hoped for...

So I went back and made mods to the front design and had a friend of mine from Italy rework the back to make them more "coin-friendly."

Here are the remastered designs that we hope to be sending off soon. I hope you like them!
