Darth Vader Prop Forum

I attempted to do searches on google and the search feature here but i come up with every other star wars costume site. bikerscout site, stormtrooper whitearmor site, rebel site, 501st, dented helmet for us. that popular helmet site.

is there a darth vader site? where i can learn all the differences between movies? research helmets, chest boxes, belt boxes, cape/robe differences?


being the perfect height for this i'd like to at least research the costume so when i feel up to it in a year or so I can start a DV costume.


i'm still keeping my fett, even though a lot of people know i'm way too tall and everyone wants me to be darth vader (some moms even call me darth vader :doh)



anyone chime in and shoot me in the right direction?

The Prop Den is the best one - though it can be a bit overwhelming with the amount of info that is there. Sometimes a bit hard to find what you're looking for as well, but still the best by far imo.

The 501st Sith Lords is not bad for some basic information. Sith Training Temple is good if you plan to scratch build. You will usually not find the really high end and accurate pieces in either STT or 501st. You can also find some pretty decent threads on the RPF.

If you are interested in what a good Vader will cost it would be about $3K+. Though, like Fett, you can do it for a lot less if you're willing to sacrifice accuracy.
