First time poster, long time reader, I'm the founder and curator of The Boba Fett Fan Club (bobafett.com/bobafettfanclub.com).

We're having a costume contest with prizes in four categories. As the premiere costume forum for Boba, Jango and all kinds of Mandos, this community is surely the source for some of the most detailed, creative and/or cost-effective costumes in the world.

What happens if you were to win the contest?

> Audience: For all the fans who customize, with flames, colors or add-ons.
> Prize: Star Wars Boba Fett Blaster Scaled Replica ($45 value)

Most Accurate
> Audience: For all the fans who study the reference photos and master the details.
> Prize: Star Wars Boba Fett Scaled Helmet Replica ($50 value)

Most Cost-Effective
> Audience: For all the fans who can make good use of cardboard, or some clever and resourceful alternative.
> Prize: Star Wars Betrayal on Bespin Action Figure Battle Pack ($25 value)

> Audience: For the one fan, who has the best all around costume in 2007.

On this page, there are pictures of Joanne's custom- Are there anymore of her costume floating around? I've seen her in group photos, but other then the three you have presented, I've never seen any good shots of just her, and I'd really like to see the whole costume.

Can anyone help me out with some, or if she's got a username here so that I could PM her?

Joanne is our XOs girlfriend if you go to the dune sea garrison website I believe there are pictures in our gallery. az501st.com Actually that would be Lance one of the other custom mandos on the site. And the pic of Cruzer has a TXFett in the background too!

Well, I kept forgetting until now. Just sent an email with my submission. Why not? :)

I entered my sons costume from 2006 (since I still don't have a complete one of my own)... ;)

The was posted by Aaron a few days ago on the BFFC forums:

But that's the only update I've seen.

The longer-than-expected delay is that there were a LOT of late entries, so the contest may or may not get extended to the end of 2007.

Thanks for your interest in keeping on this. The TDH community, and support staff, is quite more vocal than BFFC. That said, BFFC is a much larger web site; you'll have to let me know, carbonitekid, what updates/info are lacking.

Not to be a pain but. This is the second post that has a link to open space. Meaning when you click on it you have to search high and low to find the page your describing. Maybe you could link directly to the post on your boards, and directly to the album that contains the photos of the contestants. Just a thought

The image galleries are a tricky app to wrangle; the best thing going for you, other than following the directories, would be the recent uploads, and then going into the album from there. I should have posted the album link here, as I did on the front-paged BobaFett.com news post.

So...anybody hear anything new on this yet? I've visited the site a couple of times and don't see anything listed in the news and nothing new in their forums. I'm a little bummed that this contest seems to be taking so long. I was actually really excited to finally be included in a Star Wars related contest, being a "custom" and all.

I haven't heard a thing. I understand there were a lot of applicants, but an update every now and then would be appreciated. I would just hate to see the contest forgotten about.:cry

Actually, I swear from what I read there ended up only being 20 of us who "made the cut" according to the site.

I can tell you that mine is NOT most accurate around this bunch of people, this much I do know for fact. This place has evolved into something more gifted and greater than when I put my original fett together so really the kudos goes to everyone else here. Thanks for the nod Aaron !

Mucho kudos goes to our own Rogue Studios for doing over half this outfit from Gauntlets, to knees to the jumpsuit. Its been so long I nearly forgot ! But as always, tipped hat to you old friend.

Got Maul, yes, that's come up in the e-mails I've received. :)

Part of it is the contest submissions, the photos, and the challenges of judging from submissions and photos across three broad categories (creative, cost-effective, and accurate, plus best in show).

If we do this one again, we'll definitely need a TDHer to pine over the details. After all, this is the magnet for Fett experts.

All cool GM I had no idea this occured and there appeared to be some really great entries as well. Looks like everyone put in a lot of sweat and effort into these and just keep it up. Someone needs to get an ESB or Prepro to win next!

Yeah GM, there's a lot of great Fett suits here at TDH, but along with a great suit, you have the height and build to pull off a perfect Boba. Plus, it was your pimped out helmet interior that put you over the edge! The difference is in the details.;)
