Common wardrobe malfunctions (Boba)

I'm in the process of tweaking my Boba gear to make it fit as comfortably as possible. Having teething problems with snaps, velcro attachments etc.

Experienced troopers, what would be your most common wardrobe malfunctions?

For some reason my spats tend to slide of my boots and end up at an angle...

i don't have a ready solution for ya... but perhaps someone else here does??

I've also have a problem with the jet pack pulling on my BM jet pack harness to such an extent that it looks redicilous... This was reprimanded with some industrial velcro, just two half inch by 1 inch peices at the bottom of the jet pack and the backplate. To take some of the preasure of the harness and more on the backplate, which then hangs on my shoulder. I'm not 100% happy with it but it will do for now.

Hope this helps...

(BTW.. who said that Sintra armour can be made to look good... ;) )

I had a big problem with the jet pack pull, but I corrected that with a new harness. Probably the biggest problem I have is with my knee armor shifting around. However, it has snaps and an elastic strap, so I'm really not sure how to fix it. :( They don't move up and down, just kind of rotate around my knee.

To fix the knee problem, sew some velcro on your jumpsuit where they go and put the other side of the velcro on the knee armor. It will stop it from moving around and hold it in place very well.

The biggest problem I have is holding my cod and belts up. They have a tendancy to fall down over the course of a day. I am thinking about attaching some velcro to the jumpsuit and cod armor just like I did the knees.

I use velcro to hold my knees in place also. I thought you saw that at ConCarolinas Charlie?

Predatormv, I tried that vecro on the jumpsuit. Worked kinda well till I lost weight. =D I just keep making my girth tighter and the velcro on the girth holds the cod in place.

The biggest wardrobe malfunction I've had has been my metal cod. I dished one that actually cups more like a Jango cod which makes it 3D. However, the edges are metal and rubbed a nice hole into the crotch of my flightsuit...yeah yeah laugh it up!

Fixed that with some hot glue around the edges, but now I gotta fix the hole!!

POSTURE!

it's really easy, and feels very natural, to lean back in the suit. i have to consciously slouch forward a bit to correct for my natural inclination to lean back. i also wear a contractor's back brace from home depot under the suit to help with that.
