While at work, a co-worker and myself were discussing conventions and he mentioned that he went to Comic-con last year in Charlotte, and there were many people dressed up. I've lived here in North Carolina all my life and I've never heard of any larger conventions here, so naturally, I Googled it when I got home, and sure enough, I found two conventions, a Comic con with very little information on their website, and HeroesCon, that looks fairly big, both taking place later on in the summer of this year.
I plan on going, but I was just wondering if anyone here at the Dented Helmet is planning on going as well. Also, since I was obviously oblivious to those conventions, does anyone know of any (besides DragonCon in Atlanta) that are in-state, or within reasonable driving distance?
