Clone Wars Season 3

Mando Pirate

Jr Hunter
I watch this with my kids all the time, and while being a lazy bum and browsing the interwebs... I found this:
Star Wars The Clone Wars TV Series: "Rescue of Boba Fett"
Season 3 Episode 10 - Appears on the Cartoon Network: Friday, Fall 2010 - 9 PM Eastern

Pfft... "rescue of boba fett"...
Anywho, thought everyone might get a kick out of that

:)

I think it's VERY likely that Boba shows up somewhere. In the Art of the Clone Wars coffee table book, there are concept illustrations of him in a teenage, partially armored state.

Is it this one?

I'm pretty sure the Mandos fall under the on-screen rule. As long as you can get enough quality shots of them from the episodes they appear in for reference you will be able to get it approved. They are also in the next issue of the Insider magazine due out next week!

You would need clear reference of them from all angles, showing all their gear and even then it'd need to be approved by Thomas Spanos, the Legion Membership Liaison.

the art of the clone wars book is really nice. i've been surprised to have not really heard a peep about it anywhere.

as far as i know, the CW mandos are theoretically 501stable... they meet the general guidelines. i'm SURE there will be a fuss over them just like animated clones. do we require animated style armor/helmets, jango style armor/helmets, both? hybrids?

I wonder if they are going to try and run with a variation of an idea they had for Revenge of the Sith. I remember hearing of an idea where Yoda would be in the lower levels of Coruscant during the jedi purge or after his battle with Sidious and he would be helped by a young Han Solo and that the pair would encounter a young Boba.

They better not. Yoda was on Dagobah at the end of Episode III, and I don't imagine him going back and forth. As for Boba, "tween" would be more applicable. Since he had no growth acceleration, I'm presuming even during fetal development, during the actual Clone Wars he'd be 9-11 years old. I really don't want to start seeing him until he's at least an adult by Mando standards... >_>

If Boba was "born" at the start of the Clone Program, he would be at least 9-10 by the start of the
war (EP II) so by the end of the wars he would actually be at the Mando adult age of 13.

yeah, i think he'll be old enough that, so long as they still make him a kid, he could be believable as a hunter of sorts.

i've been happy with what they've done so far. i'm REALLY interested to see what they do with the mandos / boba.

i wonder if the mandalorians we've seen will find him and recognize him as jango's son...

Well if Insider and the season 2 previews are correct, then besides some helmet paint, a symbol, and a shoulder cape...they are pretty general and all the same colors. Thigh armor looks to be fairly different from the standard mando armor of Jango and most EU mandos of the period as well as the helmet being the cartoonish style like the animated clones.
