    Chingay Parade of Dreams 2008

    Hey Hunters,

    Singapore just finished it's 2 day Chingay Parade as part of the Chinese New Year Celebration for 2008. For those of you who don't know what Chingay basically is, it's a mini Rose parade of sorts.

    This year, the Singapore Garrison of the 501st and Star Wars members of Movie Mania were invited to provide 'honor guards' for the Singapore President's arrival and ended with leading his float along the 1.5Km parade route.

    More importantly, it was also the first time gathering of all 3 Mandalorians in Singapore; SE Boba Fett [Herry], Jango Fett [Sharon] and ROTJ Boba Fett [me].

    That's fantastic. Looks like it was great fun and the photos are cool too. Now why doesn't Korea go in for Star Wars in the same way then I'd at least get more use out of my Fett when he's done.

    I don't mind saying this, even if I get a little heat for it .. but it looks like our Rose parade pales in comparison to your Chingay parade ! That looks like a HUGE event !! Nothing "mini" about it That's takes a lot of courage to troop that there bro. Seems as if though that was quite an honor for you too.

    And it looks like you guys must have had a fabulous time !! And I for one, looked through all the pics ... just wow.

    Great suits you guys .. Tim, you got a lot of paint detail going on there. It looks great !

    Herry, I think your BM was widened slightly, just look at your t-visor slot. The bottom is wider than the top.

    Chris, it was an honor...and I don't know much about the comparison, but Chingay did pull out all the stops for this year's parade.

    Thanks Hunters!

    While not a set rule for the Singapore Garrison, new and older members have been recommended to upgrade to the movie sized helm. Doesn't take much more than that as usually after they see the difference, they want to.

    Matt, Jon, thanks guys! You've been the biggest supporters of my armor build up. Thanks!

    Everyone else, thank again! Your comments, especially the fact that most if not all are Fett gurus, means a whole hellva alot!

    Matt, the hoses were removed for this parade as to help with the constant waving to the crowds and a comfort issue. It's back on now.

    Everyone's costumes looked amazing! I really liked all the TK's staning there motionless. By the way, in the video, when the parade was happening, and you guys were stopped, how long were you standing there without moving?
