Chicago Photo Shoot

Hey Chicago guys. Don't feel bad if you weren't "invited." This was really a test run to see if it was worth doing. If all those who had pics taken agree that it is, I am more than willing to come back and do it again. I specifically bought my lighting equipment and camera for the sole purpose of photographing people's costumes so I will be doing it more and more as I get more skilled. Right now, I have a LONG way to go!

Braks....Any chance you'll be bring any of your handle tools TO Comicon?

The only Indy he'll be doing is Indiana Jones ! (wait, that sounded real bad)

The question is chris, when are YOU coming up to Chi-town !

Is it ok if I have that group image printed Brak's?

Sure, but the pic I posted is very small and will not print well. If you really want to have the pic printed, I could work up a larger version. Just let me know.

Well, here is the deal I made with the Chicago guys. They paid for my plane ticket, the shipping of my equipment and I stayed with GotMaul (I think he would have done that no matter what...) and I agreed to take as many pics of as many people as time allowed. I think we shot 9 people and it ended up costing them $36 each which is a LOT cheaper than I would charge for a regular sitting and even cheaper than the prices I had quoted for Dragon Con. Due to a limited number of vacation days I can't just give an open invitation to any group to do that, but I am certainly open to anyone who wanted to try to arrange it. The biggest issue it timing and getting everyone scheduled to be there when they need to be. The other issue is finding a place to set up all the lighting equipment. You have to have a BIG area with high ceilings. Like I said, if anyone is truly interested, I am open although not until after the first of the year.

Good to hear :)

There is a fairly good chance I will go to comic con... Better start saving now to ship all my SST gear out there!!!

If I went it is doubtful that I would bring all the lighting stuff as there is a ton of it and I have pretty much decided that I will never again do what I did two years ago at Dragon Con. I literally never made it out of the hotel room because I was taking pics the whole time!

However, I would be open to coming to CA to do a shoot although you guys already have Britt out there who is much more skilled than I am!

OK... not sure if these are the best, but they are the best I can do with my limited PS skills.

First, here is a 8X10 @ 300 dpi copy of the tdh group. It is in TIFF format and about 20Mb. It should print out pretty nicely.

Also here is the tdh group pic sized for several displays.

For those with 1600X1200 displays, download this.

For those with 1280X1024 displays, download this.

For those with 1024X768 displays, download this.

Well either way, it would be nice to get you out here for the festivities....

I'd be open to one in the LA area and have it here Art.
We've got 9 foot ceilings, and your welcome back anytime. If anyone wants to do that in L.A./O.C. Just an option...

Holy freakin WOW! The pics and everyone's costumes look Fantabulistic!!!!!!
I hope to get together with this crazy TDH bunch at DC 2006.
You guys rock!
