And then went to Columbus, OH. Was a great time and a bonus that they had Mr Bulloch to attend!

My bad. I thought it started in LA. Doesn't seem to make much sense that they would start it in Boston then go to LA and back toward Boston.

    Re: Chicago area exhibit

I went to Chicago this past Friday!

    http://http://s38.photobucket.com/al...wars79/SWWSMI/

Friday, I did go to Chicago to the Star Wars exhibit at the Museum of
Science and Industry. Okay, yes it was GREAT, but some advice: do NOT
go there the day after Thanksgiving...if you think Black Friday is bad
    at the mall...
We were able to get into the display at 5:30pm, and we got to the
museum (after about an hour being "lost" *not actually lost--
frustrated* driving around downtown Chicago) just before 11am, so we
toured the rest of the museum. The Millennium Falcon "ride" had
already been filled for timed passes, or so we thought--thanks to my
stepdad's persistence, we did end up getting tickets not long before
the museum closed for the day. We got back home just before midnight.
I took about 170 pictures of the SW exhibit itself, and will get them
online in an album, so I'll post the link soon. I wore my Mandalorian
mythosasur shirt, and actually had one of the museum workers ask me
about it, so I was happy to share what Mando info I could, even though
I couldn't speak very well. What surprised me is that my daughter wore
her Boba Fett costume for most of the day, and everyone that
acknowledged her knew what character she was--were where these people
    at Halloween?
I did go to a local Wal-Mart at 5am as I was up and out anyway for the
Chicago trip LOL. That wasn't too bad--they even brought donuts out to
the people in line in the 30-something degree weather.

I also worked this weekend and had two family birthdays (my daughter
and stepdad). Went out for dinner for one and a party for the other.
I also lost my voice on Friday, so by the time we left the museum, I
couldn't really talk much, and am still hoarse today, but it's just
sinuses. After having to use a lot of hand gestures and sign language
at the b-day dinner, my mom told me she's never going to play charades
    with me LOL.

I'm just now starting to get my voice back a bit...LOL

we're just all proud of it since an NEG member was heavily involved in the design of the whole thing... the logo art and a bunch of the other graphics stuff was made by one of our own

that thing was our home away from home for its whole run. actually, it was more like my house was my home away from the museum!

I'm trying to get in on an event at the Chicago exhibit this weekend. A friend of mine in the 501st is trying to get me on the list as a costuemd participant. Got some loaner jedi gear that I'll be wearing if mine's not ready in time.

I would love to be able to go again since I really didn't have time to read anything in the exhibit, and I would really like to be there when the 501st is attending! I didn't see anything listed on the Midwest Garrison calendar as I was wanting to see when they were scheduled to be there...I'd love to catch 'em.

The midwest garrison has an entire section devoted to exclusively to this exhibit on their website, but you must be able to log in to access it. The garrison is trooping there pretty much every weekend I believe from now until the end of the run in January.
