Celebration VII Announced!

I've bought my tickets! Last time it was in LA (in 07?), I got to see the Fett with the working jetpack fly down the street and back. Although a working jetpack isn't screen accurate, it was sure cool!

Haha! Yeah here's a video of that. Poor Fett's cod fell off. He can't go anywhere without something falling apart.

Glad you can make it back out!

Thanks! I never saw the video. I was watching from inside the building and failed to realize there was a mandalordrobe malfunction!

Hi all, just bumping this with a roommate request.
If anyone has not gotten a hotel room confirmed and would be interested in splitting costs,
I'm booked in the Anabella on Katella Ave. It's literally across the parking lot from the
convention center.

I'm a pretty mellow guy, not a big partier. I roomed with Terrantula for C VI last time so
he could vouch for me (I hope!)

Send me a PM if you're interested in saving some $$$ or want to talk details.
Thanks for reading,
Eric

I will be coming to C7, I've been to all the US ones since C2. Not sure if I will be bringing my boushh yet, I'm not sure about how I would pack it on the plane

It sounds like fun. I've got my 4 day pass and have booked a room at the Desert Palms Hotel and Suites. My wife wanted to get a suite, so she can have what's she's calling her nerd refuge :) It's supposed to be 2 blocks from the convention centre. We're going to drive down so I don't have to worry about trying to pack my Fett onto a plane. Hopefully, I'm finished by then.

Will there be a TDH/RPF booth? I'm surprised we haven't heard more news about events and guests yet!

Yeah, I agree. We're pretty close now and there aren't as many details as I thought. The guest list definitely isn't striking me as amazing, although I'm sure they're gonna bring the big guns later.

This being my first Celebration, what's the 501st party like? Do they check for member IDs? I hope I have everything ready by then.

I've decided to make the long trek from OZ. the only problems beyond finding a hotel and transporting a costume internationally is that I won't know anybody that's going.

Hi Tzhan,
I posted a while back about trying to find someone to share hotel expenses with. I've had a room booked for over a year now.
It's at the Anabella Hotel right across the parking lot from the convention center. If that sounds like something that might
be a possibility for you, send me a PM.
There will be lots of TDHers there, so you'll be able to meet plenty of people. (y)

I'm booked up as well (Marriott) with a roommate, but yes, there will be lots of TDH and local SCG 501st that would be happy to welcome you!

Lucasfilm has confirmed an earlier report that Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith will debut in 3D at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim (April 16-19, 2015).

"Fans will be the first to see this long-awaited, big-screen 3D conversion by Lucasfilm, completed with care for the look of the original movie while taking advantage of 3D’s stunning possibilities," Lucasfilm said on www.starwars.com.
In addition, Lucasfilm announced a long-expected bit of Disney synergy: Celebration ticket-holders can buy discount admission to Disneyland—valid Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 24—by logging into their Celebration account and clicking this link. These discounted tickets can be purchased through 9:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
