Celebration V

My limited understanding is that Sansweet really wants to use Indy as the location and the new convention center won't be done by then... again, these are just rumors that I think have been swirling around.

Yeah... it'll only be what? 100F in April. (Yes the new Convention Center is nice... what I've seen of it anyway). But, standing in line - and you know you will - would be killer, especially for those in costume!

it's been awhile since I've heard anything. Weren't there some other cities on the "short list" e.g. Baltimore, Chicago, even Orlando?

I'm pulling for either Indy or Orlando. Considering my entire family loves going to them, Indy is realy close, and we love Florida. Not to mention if it were in Florida I'd be able to visit with all my Florida internet friends finaly. :D

I'm betting he will announce it at SDCC. It makes MUCH more sense putting it in the middle of the country where its accessible by all. Even though I am on the east coast, I am totally against the Baltimore and Orlando as being choices, but I'm hoping for Indy or Chicago.

I think the new National Harbor, Gaylord convention Center - the biggest on the East Coast would be a great location. Lots of hotel space, right on the Potomac, water taxis to additional hotels and dining in Old Town Alexandria.

Check it out! Probably one of the most amazing Hotels outside of Las Vegas...
