Carpal tunnel crew: Guitar Hero 3's "Dragonforce"

Yea, I've never gotten it this bad before playing anything, not even after playing tuba for a total of 15 hours in one day.

I've been "practicing this," on expert, and gotta say, it's not getting any easier, but I'm getting there.

For those that don't know what in the Heck I'm talking about, here's a youtube video of it. By Dragon force: into the fire and flames for guitar hero 3 on EXPERT

My record with that song on expert is 95%, i've got a video around here somewhere...

Nah just kidding, i'm an easy mode kinda guy haha

I have trouble passing it, but I can 5* almost every main set list song in that game on Expert (haven't beaten One and Raining Blood yet). Rapid strumming is my problem area; the notechart for Dragonforce on Hard is ridiculous (almost no hammer-on/pull-off notes at all).

I've been playing GH:WT much more as of late though, and the majority of the songs appear to be easier than GH3. I've noticed a bit of numbness/pain in my left hand from drumming Hard/Expert recently...there's a reason ScoreHero's subtitle is "Graciously Documenting Our Future Arthritis", right? :D

On a cold winter morning in a time before the light
In flames of death's eternal reign we ride towards the fight
When the darkness has fallen down and the times are tough alright
The sound of evil laughter falls around the world tonight

Fighting hard fighting on for the steel through the wastelands evermore
The scattered souls will feel the hell bodies wasted on the shores
On the blackest plains in hell's domain we watch them as they go
In fire and pain now once again we know

So now we fly ever free, we're free before the thunderstorm
On towards the wilderness our quest carries on
Far beyond the sundown, far beyond the moonlight
Deep inside our hearts and all our souls

So far away we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames we carry on

As the red day is dawning and the lightning cracks the sky
They'll raise their hands to the heavens above with resentment to their lies

Running back through the mid morning light there's a burning in my heart
We're banished from a time in a fallen land to a life beyond the stars

In your darkest dreams see to believe our destiny this time
And endlessly we'll all be free tonight

And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality
All alone in desperation now the time has come
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind
Day after day this misery must go on

So far away we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames we carry on

Now here we stand with their blood on our hands
We fought so hard now can we understand
I'll break the seal of this curse if I possibly can
For freedom of every man

So far away we wait for the day
For the lives all so wasted and gone
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days
Through the fire and the flames we carry on

Just had to post this! How awesome is this song?!?

i've never been able to get into dragonforce... i actually left about 3 songs into their set the last time i was at a show that they played. just a bit too much on the wizards and dragons side of the metal spectrum for me ;)

Eh, i've grown to dislike dragonforce somewhat... I've been informed that a lot of their "amazing" guitar solos are mostly synthesized. i could be wrong. I just think that there are far better metal bands out there like Manowar, Amon Aamarth, Rhapsody of Fire or Rammstein (a few of my favorites)

they remind my a little of the late 80's band Helloween and Annihilator (Jeff Waters is a thrash god!!) (y)(y)(y) search them on the net and you will see what I mean:cheers:cheers
