Cancelled :( TDH snowboard/ski trip to Mammoth Mountain Dec 28th-Jan 3rd-See post 74

That is a cool board. There was also a Fett armor board jacket from Analog a few years back.

I think that model is kind of big though Mirax. Like a 160 somethin' if I remember. It might've come if smaller sizes.

Funny thing about this board was, I remember seeing this at our International retailer buyer/buyer show(SIA), which is in Vegas every January.(Think Comic Con for snowboarding/skiing). Anyway, I walked by Ride's booth, saw the Fett board prominently displayed. And instantly was stoked on it. This lady from Ride walked up, and I said- "Cool Fett board!"

her- "What board?".

me- "Y'know, Boba Fett, Star Wars. That's Boba Fett. Awesome."

she matterly of factly said- "Oh no, that is our character. Our designer made him. That's some space ranger he drew. (Yup, space ranger. I swear on my Fett suit.)

me- "Well he drew it, but the character IS loosely based on Boba Fett from Star Wars. It looks good." (throwing "loosely" in there, as to not appear rude or anything.

her- "NO. It is OUR artwork. He designed it." (she threw out a real stern tone.)

me- "Well cool, thanks for your time." (Admired it a second more, and strolled off.)

No joke. It was pretty funny. She was pretty darn sure of herself, knowing it was a "space ranger". I thought it was great. I took a friend back by their booth, to confirm the art's Boba Fett-ness, and results came back- "Hey, that's Boba Fett."

They also did Fett's lower half in snowboard pants, to accompany the jacket. The pants had a light grey colorway(ROTJ;)) with Yellow color blocking on the knees. Totally cool.

Analog also did a Stormtrooper kit that year. Jacket and pants.

I'll try and find some pics. :)

Oh no, not looking for me, looking for Brak's. Now that is pretty funny, an original character  I would sooooo love to hit SIA next year since it is pretty close by.

Cool, if he can ride around that size board, you can't beat that graphic. Original or no;).

Yeah, the Vegas show is really neat. Every company has big elaborate booth setups, very similar to SDCC in that respect. It is closed to the public though, all pre-book wholesale business being done. But, if you have a friend that works at a snowboard/ski shop nearby or something, you could always have them add an extra person to their retailer list, if they go.:)

It's a great show, but next year is the last year for SIA in vegas. They're moving it to Denver in 2010.

I shoulda picked up the Analog Fett piece but I did get that all white trooper analog jacket & pants (y) Blends in with the snow. Analog also had an homage to Bruce Lee jacket. Geeked out on gear that season :love

Nice.8)

I wasn't able to get those pieces, due to the company I work for. We also do Foursquare and Special Blend outerwear. So, I couldn't wear those kits. I was jealous! Still am!

While I have never been snowboarding I might be interested in this trip, if nothing else just to get hurt with all you guys.

I remember seeing that board years ago at a Peter Glen store here in Florida. A girl I knew worked there and I almost bought it, of course what on earth I would have done with it I have no idea but it was cool none the less.

Well gang, it is looking like we most likely will be trying to arrange this trip for Mammoth Lakes, CA http://www.mammothmountain.com/index.cfm as our very own Commander Voltaire has access to some condos and it is looking like he can get us a smokin deal. I looked at Condos/Housing for Breckenridge and it looks pretty expensive and we really want to try and make this as affordable as possible. Plus, I noticed a lot of the folks who have chimed in are on the west coast and most would probably be able to drive to Mammoth. I should have more details later today or tomorrow for everyone.

Mammoth mtn. is amazing. I've been there on 3 separate trips, and have had an absolute blast. They have like 4-5 different terrain parks! Not to mention the natural features. I'd totally go there again. :)

I board too. We thought about getting together a group of people for this next season and renting a place. We're in Chico, CA, lots of cool places nearby (Shasta, Tahoe etc). Heard mammoth is crazy huge

Well, thanks to our very own Commander Voltaire and his awesome connections, we have a pretty awesome opportunity to go to Mammoth Mountain http://www.mammothmountain.com/index.cfm for relatively cheap. We have 1 condo secured that houses 5, hopefully will have a 2nd confirmed soon that holds 8, and very possibly a 3rd that holds 8 as well! There should hopefully be availability for between 13-21 people. The dates we are looking at are Dec 29-Jan 2 (four nights, 5 days). We could possibly throw in the weekends but it will cost more. Cost wise will depend on how many people but if we have 13 it will be somewhere around $180 per person for the 4 nights and if we have 21 it will be a little less for 4 nights. If we throw in a weekend (either the weekend before or after) (2 xtra days) then it would be around $300 per person with 13 of us and around $280 per person if we have 21. The cost is going to be the same, regardless of how many days out of the ones we have booked you stay. This is an AWESOME price since you can hardly find a room for one night for these prices, let alone a condo. The other nice thing is the condos are very close to the lifts!

Soooooo, I need to know how many are serious about coming, and if these dates will work for you, and would you want to come for the weekend as well and which weekend you would prefer (before or after).

I will have confirmation on the 8 person unit by Sunday. The 5 person unit that is confirmed, is walking distance to the Eagle Lodge lift. :)
