Can someone help me before Halloween?

Hey all. I'm nearing completing my Scout. It's been a slow road due to helping the family out, and a low paying job. I still need to do some tampering with the belt and thigh boxes, a neckseal, and boots. I can do without the neckseal for a little while. Is there anyone who has a set of Scout Boots they're willing to sell? I'm going to dress as my Scout for Halloween, if possible. I have the holster piece that goes with the boots. Again, if there's anyone who has a set of Scout Boots They're willing to sell, could you let me know and PM me? Thanks!

I just sold a pair of size 10's to a garrison mate just over a week ago. they were too small for me. btw, what size would you need?

I bought a pair once ( I sold them 2 years ago) that were made from cheap construction boots and White naughahide that was gooped and stapled to the boots. The closure was velcro that was sewed on. Theye were very nice for scratchbuilt. Very nicely made for a fraction of the price!

No problem. I thought you knew of another person who has an extra set.

I may consider getting a white set of work boots from walmart, just temporary for Halloween.

let me edit that, i sold my pair of 10's. i bought a complete scout kit, and the boots that came with it were too small. i apologize if i led you to believe that i produce them.

but here's a link that could help you make your own: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=903

I don't know if this is any help to you but I got my Biker Scout boots from a firm called Champion Attitude Boots (AKA) caboots. They're based in El paso Texas and are a family firm who hand make boots. They also do Jedi, Imperial Officer/Navy Trooper and Stormtrooper boots. I had to wait a while for mine but then I'm from Ireland, I imagine you'd get quicker delivery within the USA.

How much are you willing to pay? There is a guy Ross in the FL Garrison that makes them and I'm buddies with him. I can get you his info. I've actually made 3 pair myself, it's not hard to do.

These links should help get you started if you want to take the leap...You can get these done in two days taking your time with no problem and for under 50 bucks. CA boots and other boot makers will charge you about 150...

Honestly if you're tight on cash and time you should just make your own based on that link that Esh posted. Those are actually the best boots IMO anyway since they follow closest to how the "real" Biker Scout boots were constructed. That and it's certainly going to be your cheapest option.

Thanks. I tried messaging him, yet I think he's unable to make them right now. I will strongly be considering caboots soon.

Just an idea, but why not post this in the hold too? Might not help, but can't hurt.

I assume you already posted on the 501st boards?

I'm not a 501st member yet. this will be my first armor set. Yet I have asked around the 501st Florida and Alabama forums, and kept an eye open on bikerscout.net

didnt know that CAboots = Champion Attitude Boots...thought it's California Boots...oh well ...okay back to the topic again...

lol, i posted the same thread at bikerscout.net as eshco (except the pics showed up in my link, weird). anyway, i'd really suggest you get ewok stompers from here: http://www.myspace.com/ewokstompers

he's a little behind on his boot orders, and doing smaller runs now; but he made the boots that i sold and they were top quality. caboots won't get you lancer status, this guys will, and for less.

Yeah, that's Ross...He charges the same as CA boots but his are SOOOOO much better! He bases his construction off the tutorials though which is why I'm saying you could save loot. Not trying to take away business from him since he's a friend, just saying...

I vouch for him though for sure! His partner, Ladyghost makes all the soft parts for TB's as well...They'll get you lancer status in no time! (y):cheers

I have a pair of Ross' boots, size 11 (20H 16W) that don't fit quite right that I'm willing to part with. Maybe that will or won't work for you. For what you'd pay for the CA Boots, you're better off just following the boot tutorial on BS.N. It's pretty easy, much cheaper, and CA Boots just aren't that accurate. You'd get the bug to replace them down the road anyway.

Thanks for the info about CAboots, everyone. I probably won't order them now.

dengar99, would they be a little too tight for me?

Why don't you just make them yourself? Did you check out the link to the tutorial? It's not like they're hard to make OR expensive.
