Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Hey all!

Has anyone played this yet? If not, highly, highly recommended!
It is definitely the best COD to date. I actually think it is better than Gears of War (bold statement, I know) but, and here is where the lynch mob may come in, it is unquestionably better than Halo 3. Of course, this is my opinion as some/most may think otherwise. Regardless...awesome game. If I can, I'll probably be playing on Live tonight if anyone wants to get a gmae up. My gamertag is CtnHwdy

Must. Get. Xbox Live. Picked this up yesterday and it's fantastic! I really like that you're truly in the middle of the action. Not just station to station and fight.

I was getting killed from about every direction, this one has me thinking a little differently than Gears. Halo 3 was fun, but I'm guessing that its legacy and online play are what sold it. Didn't seem to evolve much as a shooter from earlier incarnations. R6 and GOW's cover system should be mandatory for all shooters from here on out.

Wow I need to start my next job. This with Mass Effect, Assasin's Creed, Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, and who knows what will sneak up on us next! Too much money in video game land.

Yeah, expensive few months. Throw in Orange Box that just came out for those of us who missed the Half Life series the first time around too.

Could this be the best few months of gaming we've ever seen? Don't have to go back too far for Bioshock and Halo 3. Oh well, my wallet can rest in January.

I want to state for the record that I SLAUGHTERED TxFett on a one-on-one game of COD4 last night! He can't deny it or he'd be lying!

Yes..There are so many games coming out, I don't know what to do! I just picked up Guitar Hero III last week and I didn't realize that a few days later COD4 came out...then the guy at the store says; "Dont forget about Assasins Creed next week!" I was like...wow...anything else coming out? Yeah, Rock Band...And last night I played the Crysis demo...which was awesome...All these great games and I still haven't even opened up Bioshock yet!

Red Ring Of Death last night as I fired up some COD 4. Bill Gates can go to... Looks like I'm on suicide watch for 4 weeks. Fortunately I have friends who are offering to keep my games warm until I get the 360 back. Lucky me.

I just got my xbox back from microsoft. They sent me a letter saying it was a different unit so I hope this one has the necessary fix to avoid that stupid ring. Their only compensation was a coupon for a month subscription of xbox live gold. Thanks a lot Mr. Gates.

This game sounds quite interesting, maybe i'll get myself a copy aswell. I just seen a little of this game and I am already intrested in playing it.

That mission and the sniper missions were my favorite. I went back and played the gunship mission a couple of times.

I have been a huge fan of the Call of Duty Series:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup for at least two years and could not wait to get my hands on the modern war version of the series. But the unthinkable happened about 1 week before the game was released. My XBOX 360 got the red ring of death "AGAIN'. So I called the support line and they said it will take 3-4 Weeks to fix. So I sent it away and bought a new 360 and sold my brother the other one to keep whenever it arrives. So after all that I got to play Call of Duty 4 the second it came out and havent slept since. Life is Good8)

What kind of graphics card do i need to play it on PC? I have an NVidia GeForce 7300 .

Playing Live on this game is very cool! I look forward to constantly trying to "level up" which makes it addicting. Txfett is close to being unstoppable and I wonder if he was the first person to get his five stars?

yes, admittedly, I got PWNED by TxFett...he's a crazy good.

Did you see me on Cruzer ? That friggin level up meter is so bad...I was on for an extra hour tonight because of it.

you could probably juts go down to your local walmart or video game store and check out what the requirements on the box are. you can't always trust them though. the Battelfield 2 box says that you need an Nvidia Geforce FX 5800 and I was able to play it with a 5200 and my bro with a 5700

I'd definitely be down for a [FETT] clan.

It was great fighting alongisde everyone yet again lastnight. If you had any form of beauty before Cruzer, it left town eons ago.
