Boston Photoshoot 2008

Art, did you and Kristen get a room for SDCC?? If so are you guys doing a photo shoot in your room? Just curious.

We are going to SDCC but unfortunately won't have a place to do a photo shoot while there. I would love to do another So Cal shoot! Maybe we could plan one.

holy crow! with all these awesome shots i forgot indy was there! great shot! i guess that was one of the few where i actually had some intensity, art?

You actually had quite a few good shots... but the whip alignment wasn't as good as I would have liked in most. It is the typical whip issue... take a million pics and one turns out well.

i havnt had a chance to see any of the indy ones yet as im still waiting to get the disc from brian..lol so it was good to see one. i like how even thoough im holding one end of the whip it really doesnt look that way. very natural hand position for the back hand..a good shot for sure.

leonidas has to stop shaving his chest though..lol

I picked up my CD with my Vader pictures on it last night and was completely blown away with Art's abilities. You've totally outdone yourself man! Like I said on the NEG forums, your name "Art" exemplifies what you do!

What is so impressive is that we used to be embarrassed when folks would post their pics with no editing because they never looked like the pics we would post. Art would sometimes spend hours on a picture (especially in our first shoots) trying to edit it to look good. He has tried really hard to get to a point where the raw pictures can stand on their own. He does very little editing anymore and that is what really shows how far his photography has really come.

As for Comic Con, and honestly Dragon Con for that matter. We have rooms for both but don't have a room large enough to shoot in. If anyone has a place available for either event that we could shoot in, please let us know. Also, we LOVE traveling, so anyone interested in trying to organize a shoot in their area, PLEASE let us know. We are already talking about possibly another shoot in Boston.

JD, you are very welcome. Glad I could help :)

Wow guys. Thanks so much for the compliments. This really is a group effort. Without the amazing costumes, and patient posting and holding the pose.. and holding... and holding... of the models, I would have nothing to show but a dark background. They really are the stars. On top of that you have the host of the shoot, in this case TK7602, who shuttles us around and provides us with a place to lay our head. Finally, none of this could be done without Mirax organizing and directing. She is my Pepper Potts and without her, I couldn't get anything done. As excited as I am about the success of this shoot, I immediately came home and have begun reviewing every aspect of what we do and reevaluating things to ensure that the next shoot is even better and more successful!

I am loving these pics! Webchief your ESB Vade rocks! All of you folks look awesome! I am down for a SoCal photoshoot here, my revamped snow commander and my brand new Commander Bacara/AOTC clone will be done by Halloween!

As I always tell you Art, you are one of the best costume photographers around. You really capture the feel of the suit.

So, when are you coming to SF? You can borrow my space if you want to shoot on a weekend ;)
