Hey guys just wondering if any of you guitar pros have a way to help me setup my boss GT-6 pedal. I am really the only one that has touched a guitar among my friends let alone an effects pedal. I am trying to set it up for rock music I can give you a song I want to play so you can propbaly listen for the effects

but I have no idea how to set it up! it was bought pre-owned and didn't have an instruction booklet :/

For refference I have a new Peavey Amp and a B.C. Rich Warlock Guitar

THeres the song its: The Bleeding By Five Finger Death Punch

buy an Orange amp and plug straight in nuff said! no really good luck with the programming. Most pedal boards also have a master reset that will erase all the changes made by the previous owner and restore it to the factory settings. Finding the manual online should prove to be very simple.

This may be too little too late, but, first comes mastering any guitar. I believe in earning your way to the effects and whatnot. I started on bass guitar, which is a REALLY good way to start. Then I moved to acoustic guitar, then electric. Nothing gives me more joy than to pass on my learning to people with the passion of music. 1st of all, everyone starts out wanting to be a "rich and famous rock star." Granted, you quickly learn, it's alot of work! Here's a few things any musician on any instrument needs (in my personal opinion, of course) 1: EAR. You cannot play an instrument without it. If it sounds bad, chances are, it is! 2: SKILLS. If you learn only 3 chords, you will be limited to that style. Acquire skills that branch out to ALL aspects of the universal language (Music :) ) 3: DRIVE. Either in your basement with friends, or on stage in front of MILLIONS of people, you have to have a fire under your britches. For instance, to practice, practice, and, well, maybe some more practice. 4: A BACK-UP FOR EVERYTHING If you're at a gig, and for some odd reason, your amp goes out, you need a back-up. I broke a string at a gig in the middle of the set, and, with a good lead singer to keep the crowd occupied, I changed a string mid-gig. Back-up strings, pics, and if you have a tube amp, tubes are needed! (Kinda pricey, but well worth it!) I hope you learn from this. After all, it's accumulated knowledge from 13 years of playing. Good luck!!
