Hello, been thinking a while about expanding my collection of Star Wars related literature, preferably guides etc.

Been ey(e?)ing the following books and would love your input on them. Good/bad? Why? If you have a scanner, maybe you could show a page or two of them so you can see their layout, style and well.. how they are I guess. Especially Boba/Jango Fett stuff ofc! :wacko

The books are as following:
- Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars
-
The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology
-
Episode III Revenge of the Sith: The Visual Dictionary
- Star Wars:
The Complete Visual Dictionary

I hope you can be of help to me. Since my budget is very limited and the books are expensive, I could really use some inside info, so to speak.

Thanks in advance and May the Fett(s) be with you.

I'm sorry for bumping (seen tons of bumping in other threads so will *assume* it's not against the rules. :p) but I just wanted to get some attention to the thread and hopefully get a reply or two.

Here is some links to info about all those books. Hope this helps.(y)

I own three of those, but have access to none at the moment. You've probably already seen the pics of the Fetts from the visual dictionaries and didn't know it. Two page spread for each, if I remember correctly.

The other I have is the Dressing a Galaxy text. This is a very interesting text, with beautiful pictures. It's wonderful for someone who's into the design of the looks, and looking for specifics for costume design. I was disappointed in how little it covered of my particular interests: the armored characters. There is some soldier stuff in general (I can't remember exactly about Jango), but I would avoid this text in particular, unless you're interested in other areas than Mandalorian. It's pretty pricy.

In all honesty, your best bet would probably be reference cds from here, depending upon what you're looking for, of course.

I've decided to buy Revenge of the Sith: The Visual Dictionary. Would love some more comments about the following books to help me make up my mind.
- The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology
- Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars

Maybe someone knows a site which covers the content lists of the books?

Thx /Drake
