Boba Fett meets 300 Spartan

Most people know Mirax and I own one of the screen used 300 Spartan Hoplite costumes and everyone knows I love Boba Fett. As a belated wedding gift for Mirax and I, our friend, and fellow TDH member, saxe coburg took a Spartan helmet and painted it up as Boba Fett for us, even sculpting in a dent for it! It is one of the coolest and most unique pieces in our collection and while it is something of a humorous piece, Jon really went all out on the paint job, giving it a super detailed ESB style paint scheme. I absolutely love it and thought you guys might enjoy seeing it to! Thanks to Jon and his wife, Rose for one of the coolest gifts ever!

We seriously were sooo blown away by this gift. They gave it to us at Dragon Con and everyone around was in awe!The paint job is really amazing and it just works so well on the helmet. This gift was completely unexpected and is definitely one of our prized pieces in our collection. Thank you Jon and Rose!

You are completely welcome! I'm just glad we were able to give it to you in person. This was one of the most enjoyable projects I worked on in 2010. One of those projects that you don’t want to put down.

Rose and I were so excited to hear of Art and Kristen getting engaged, that we *needed* to get them something special! It’s one thing to find the perfect person to spend the rest of your life with, but to also be able to share your hobbies with that person is truly unique.

And you couldn't be more right about finding the right person to spend the rest of your life with! In that area, you and I are both very blesed with some amazing women!
 
That looks awesome! Excellent piece of artwork.

I wonder if anyone will be inspired to make hoplite Boba or Roman legionary Boba... there are already steampunk Bobas.
