that is stupid. they sell bb guns on ebay by the masses. airsoft and stuff. I don't know how a hyperfirm wood or resin blaster can be categorized as a firearm/knife. watch, before long we wont be able to sell our armor on ebay either.

eBay has been making a lot of changes lately...

This is a bunch of FUD. One guy got his auction rejected, and got their standard form letter. I don't see anything here that suggests that eBay is specifically banning sales of replica science fiction blasters. He probably worded his auction in a way that set off their policy folks. This happens fairly often as I understand it.

Worst case, you'd have to photoshop an orange cap onto the end of the barrel to indicate it's not a firing weapon.

I think that was specifically Ebay.UK.

If you look there are plenty of Boba Fett Blasters on Ebay right now.

My bet is on that he worded his auction wrong. He probably wrote something along the lines that it can me modified to so that it has a working mechanism or that parts of it where from a real weapon.

had he simply said that this was a non-functioning replica i doubt that the auction had been pulled.

I got kicked off Ebay for selling a military mag pouch for the M-16... Ebay told me I wasn't allowed to sell machine guns..... I mean it's a fabric pouch... nothing more.

In my state, I can have a fully loaded gun on my belt and it's completely legal; as long as it is in sight. I could understand if the ban was for ebay.co.uk, but not for USA.

im thinking he worded the auchtion wrong to, as there are lots of other Bob Fett blasters on Ebay UK right now.

A similar thing happened last week, a guy was selling a MR E11 blaster, but stated in the description that it was a converted blank firing WW2 gun, which was just asking for trouble

Exactly, I wish everyone would carry a gun in the open. I REALLY believe it would greatly reduce crime. If they take away your guns then only criminals have them... BTW I am a Cop in a large city not some junkie wanting laws changed...

I "discovered" eBay right after major knee surgery while I was laid up in bed for 3 weeks with a laptop and internet...I was HEAVILY medicated...I had people mailing me stuff for months that I didn't remember buying.
