Bloody idiots...

Yesterday, while I was out doing a service project for our church, my mum was out looking in estate sales and junk shops. She found a 1983 Return of the Jedi book case by American Toy & Furniture and bought it for me to display some of my collection. The old lady she bought it from told her, "That's a good book case, you can just paint over it." and my mum said to her, "I can't paint over it! It's Star Wars! My daughter is a total Star Wars geek."

I've been told by some girl I didn't even know that she hates Star Wars because "Star Wars is a ripoff of Halo"

Who else has heard stupid remarks about Star Wars or Star Wars merchandise?

star wars haters don't even bother me anymore. they don't know jack. they're all like, "i hate star wars... it's so stupid. i've never even watched them." and then i reply, "Jerk, you don't know anything! i've loved star wars since i was a little kid and my disdain for the series is a glowing hatred that your uninformed dislike can only stand there and bask in the warmth of my fiery wrath!" i actually said that to a co-worker once. because we know it's true. no one hates star wars like a star wars fan.

read that article. the summary is uncanny. it eloquently states everything that i've known to be true about star wars for years. so next time you have someone trying to tell you how much star wars sucks, bust out some knowledge, hand them a coulple brown paper bag book covers, and take they butt to SCHOOL!!!!

HAHA!!!!!! Well put Saint Nasty!!!!!!!!! I hear the Lord Of The Rings rant all of the time, and it will be the same with alot of other franchises too. It gets really annoying!!!! I am a huge fan, and I think I speak for all of us here.

When I keep hearing about how bad the Episodes 1 thru 3 sucked, I just keep telling them that, "They had to tell the story didnt they?" I dont like every single thing Lucas did with those episodes, but somehow I always defend them.;)

I love replaying the Kevin smith rants from Chasing Amy(the comic book convention)and clerks 2(LOTR vs. Star Wars) over and over and over.:cheers good times!

I had to google it because I needed a smile:) here is a good part I tryed to sensor it for the younger folk;) -Hooper: Always some white boy gotta invoke the holy trilogy. Bust this: Those movies are about how the white man keeps the brother man down, even in a galaxy far, far away. Check this: You got cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker, Nazi poster boy, blond hair, blue eyes. And then you got Darth Vader, the blackest brother in the galaxy, Nubian god!
Banky Edwards: What's a Nubian?
Hooper: Shut the up! Now... Vader, he's a spiritual brother, y'know, down with the force and all that good . Then this cracker, Skywalker, gets his hands on a light saber and the boy decides he's gonna run the universe; gets a whole clan of whites together. And they go and bust up Vader's hood, the Death Star. Now what the do you call that?
Banky Edwards: Intergalactic civil war?
Hooper: Gentrification! They gon' drive out the black element to make the galaxy quote, unquote, safe for white folks. And Jedi's the most insulting installment! Because Vader's beautiful black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty, old white man! They tryin' to tell us that deep inside we all wants to be white!
Banky Edwards: Well, isn't that true?
[Hooper pulls out his gun, shoots Banky]

I hope that doesnt offend anyone. but I love how Kevin Smith puts star wars refrences in every movie he makes.

He is making a new movie about Star Wars nuts like us, isnt he? I thought I seen something about it.

I used to work with a guy who said he hates star wars. I recently heard from him and he said he watched the movies and he likes them now. lol

Guys, every time you post and geta **** means the word is not family friendly. Please go back and edit your post.

mine were intentional asterisks

Then please remove them.

From the CoC
PROFANITY
The use of profanity is prohibited. For clarification on what qualifies as "profanity", please visit Wikipedia and search for “profanity” and “list of profanities” Profanity includes but is not limited to blasphemy (insults, slang or taking the name of a deity in vain), general insults and expletives, sexual insults or slang, and discriminatory insults or slang. Additionally, adding "@" or "#" or "$" or "%" or "*" or "-" or any other character in place of letters in curse words do NOT make those words acceptable to post.

sorry I intentionally inserted my sensors too. but I removed them. It kinda lost alot in the translation now:facepalm, but rules are rules... :rolleyeswhat if I put the actual word "bleep" or "blurp" instead? would that have been acceptable?:confused

How about a word that is not as strong? We will get the point. I know it might seem silly but, there are very big reasons whey we do this. Trust me on this one.

I once used a "light" word and got a warning, so I was under the assumption that we should be "extremly child friendly". :rolleyes

See, the only person I've ever met that "didn't like SW" was on opening day of ROTS, and actualy made fun of Boba Fett being in SW, of corse I was Jodo Kast, but still, it made me feel sorta weird that this guy would be hating on SW, then Fett, then pay money to see ROTS.

On the contrary, all of my friends always said "Oh yes, that SW, I love that.", and then when I'd say "Which one was your favorite?" they'd say, "Oh you know, that one. I think it was 7th one."   I always got a kick out of them telling me how much the liked it, they weren't being sarcastic either, because then we'd somehow get in a deep discussion about the "7th movie".

Most of the haters are idiots who've never even seen the movies. They couldn't tell Midi-clorians from Mandalorians.

ya know, i really think i need to start telling people to "back in the warmth of my fiery wrath" on a more regular basis.

I'm a pretty big fan and I don't hate Star Wars. Yeah there are inconsistancies and a lot of junk attached - like lame video games and way too many Darth Vader minis from WotC. But you have to consider the source. George was careless with continuity and with so many people having their hands in the cookie jar, its only natural that things will come out slightly skewed. Star Wars is awsome! I love the original trilogy, I thought Luke was awsome. I loved the prequals - in a different way. You need to watch Star Wars for what it is. There is no way everyone involed could get it all right. You can focus on all the inconsistancies and quirks or you can watch it and enjoy it with all the things that made you like it in the first place. Its an epic sci-fi adventure. It doesn't always have to make sense. Look around you in the real world. How much of that makes any logical sense? I watch SW for fun and enjoy it for fun and thats why I like SW. - Just my opinion.

How can Star Wars be a rip off of Halo? Halo didn't show up on the scene until 2001. SW has been around since 1977. That comment makes such little sense it doesn't even compute. If anything, Halo would have to be a rip off of SW. Not that I would know, as I've never seen/played Halo.
