bloody hackers

My new years was going so well until i ventured onto ebay and realised that my password had been changed.....confusion struck:?.....then the realisation:doh that someone had hijacked my ebay>:, after realising this i then decided to check my hotmail account and found messages from ebay saying confirmation of password change, and emails saying that i am selling two pairs of womens boots and i am going to be charged £45 for each listing...:suprise!!!!

Ive had various emails from ebay stating that they have the matter under control but im not entirely sure if they have, my account has been frozen >:, so once again the victim gets punished!

Any advice welcome,

I had something similar happen where someone went on and bid on around 6 items however they didn't change my password or anything. All the items bid on were as if they took my bidding history and randomly chose six things similar to bid on so it was very strange.

Ebay was no help to me and I had to negotiate directly with the sellers but I hope ebay is much nicer to you and good luck friend!

Sorry hear this - Ive never come across this myself so I can only imagine how frustrating it must be! You have my sympathy! Jeez that sucks! Did you eventually get it sorted lostdude?

Im waiting for a paypal decision since november on stuff that arrived broken - while eBay did actually call my house to speak to me, PayPal just email and every time I reply I get a different person. Its REALLY confusing!

I hope you can get it worked out FettSniper - it must be a PITA to start the year like this!!! Let us know how it goes?

cheers for the support guys and gals, much appreciated, yeah its very frustrating and worrying that people out there are doing this and are able to access my private stuff and change things and even steel from me.....gotta keep an eye on everything now, it sucks.

I did eventually get it sorted out but only through direct contact with the vendors. I woke up on a Sunday ready to study for exams the next day and saw this happened with some items only having a few minutes left.

I contacted the vendors directly who were fortunatly very understanding. The only thing I ended up having to buy were two Epi 2 Clone trooper figurines which I have to admit... are pretty cool :D

BTW: I got an e-mail from Ebay 2 weeks after everything was cleared up :doh

Fleabay don't care, they get paid anyway, seller fees, and paypal fees, I've been selling there for years.. At first I got screwed from poor buyers and sellers so my feedback tanked, I started a new ID and the same thing happened, but anyway I'm on the 4th ID, and no problems other than their UNREASONABLE fees.

Well, I hope they sort it out and refund the fees or just start a new ID.

Ebay is like that. Good luck with the resolution!

Ive changed my password on everything i go on pretty much, thinking that ebay know that i didnt list the items so probably shouldnt get charged.....i hope!:doh

Its all just a big pain in the @rse!!
