Anyone have a blackberry? I just got one and it's a million times better than my sidekick I had. Also Verizon is a million times better than t mobile. What are some good apps to get for it?

Which Blackberry did you get? They are nice phones, but I'm holding out for the Palm Pre. That's gonna be sick.

I'm looking for a new phone to get myself. Mine is a Pantech by AT&T, I like it so far, but I'd rather have something more that for phone and texting. I hear a lot of good things about both a Blackberry and a Side Kick, but for screen size and a qwerty board, they are both relatively equal. I think I may end up with a Backberry though.

sidekicks suck. I've had them the past 4 years. I've owned every single sidekick except the ID. they all suck compared to the blackberry. The sidekick is limited to very little stuff. If you just want to text and talk then it's fine but if you want to do actual apps then you cant on the sidekick. dont waste your money on an SK. Me and my wife got our curves for 150 for both. Buy one get one free. And a $70 rebate. Verizon rules.

I have AT&T, I don't even know what phones would be available for my provider. I definitely don't want an iPhone though.

My contract is up and am looking at getting new phones too. Blackberry Curves are on or near the top of the list. Also looking at the HTC Touch Pro (the one with the slide out keyboard). Any thoughts on the Blackberry OS vs. Windows Mobile vs. Palm OS? We are on Sprint currently and would kinda like to stick with them since most of the people we call regularly are also with sprint, but would definately consider switching providers if the deal was right.

i don't know how well I'd like not having physical keys...how long does it take to get used to not having keys?

what does your boss not like about the HTC? Which service does he have it for?

I have the curve which has keys. I wouldn't go with the bb storm. Too many issues. It freezes up if you do multiple apps. I'll ask my boss what he doesn't like but I remember him saying he misses his old phone and he wasn't into the HTC. He has either AT&T or Sprint (the only services our work uses)

I was looking at the Storm today. Pretty interesting. i know they've been flakey in the past, but I thought they had resolved most of the issues with the firmware patches and stuff?

    No?

I heard the new beta softwear they have runs alot better but I've heard it still freezes up. If they could fix it to run like any of the other bb's it'd be amazing.

You hand out blackberries? You mean like, for free? Are you talking the electronic device, or those yummy things you pick off a thorn bush and eat up with cream and sugar?

Takes a couple of weeks...and you can't touch it when your hands are dirty or you'll smudge the screen...
