Big changes for Dark Jedi

Hello everyone.

After 20 plus years of school and having earned a B.S. and M.S. in aerospace engineering, I finally found a job working for a rocket development company in Huntsville Alabama, which means I am now a car carrying rocket scientist:D.

This is a big change for me, and I am honestly terrified right now:facepalm. Unlike school I will need to make a product, deal with budgets and supervisors, and move out of state. While I am excited, it is a little nervewracking that everything is about to change in a little more than a week.

One of the changes I am happy about, however, is that I will have an income, which means that I cannot only start working on my costumes again, but I will finally be able to start keeping them! (y)It also means I will be able to find funds for travel, so some of us will finally get a chance to meet in the not to distant future.

Just felt I would share the news, because TDH is one of the few things I can hold onto as I begin a new future, and honestly while I have never personally met any of you, your help and input on my costumes has always gotten me through even the most hecktic, uncertain times.

whoot whoot good job vod im sure youll do great and we're behind ya,fam is fam lol

i gota wonder tho....do brain surgens say "its not rocket science" ?

There are few (if any) better places for space development than Huntsville, Alabama; you're certainly going to be in the right place! Good luck and have fun with it; I'm sure everything will work out for you there. Besides, you can probably get good deals on REAL model rockets :D

Congrats! Welcome to the Aerospace Engineering ranks. When you get the chance try to work your way into NASA. I have been in the business for 22 years, be preared for the cycles. I finally gave up on the private sector and went to work for the FAA. I needed "Stability" which is really an oxymoron in the Aerospace industry.

Enjoy!

well if you do make an actual rocket be it jet pack or gauntlet, no one will ever park in your spot at work again muahahahahahaha!!!

Way to go on the job. I am also going to be moving down to the Fort Payne area of Alabama on February 6th or 7th. Maybe we will run into each other some time......

Congratulations Dark Jedi! Were gonna be neighbors! I've lived in Huntsville for 20 years. It's great here. Not too big, not too small. PM me when you get settled in. :cheers

Congratulations man! I've been considering Aerospace as a career. I still want to get more information before I totally jump in. I'll shoot you a PM. Good luck!
