    Feb 28, 2008, 7:50 PM - BatNinja's Retirement #1

Folks, I’ve decided to ‘retire’ from sewing for TDH for awhile. I don’t mean for this to come off too melodramatic, as my reasons have absolutely nothing to do with anyone here.

I’ve recently been handed the reins of a karaoke and DJ service that will require a few extra hours a week of my time. In a few months, I will actually own the company and be running the small business exclusively. It also allows me the opportunity to pursue my other musical interests. 8)

Does this mean I will no longer visit TDH? Heck no! I will still be a vocal member accessing the site daily, as I haven’t finished my own costume yet! And, from time to time, I will probably still offer up sewn items in the Cargo Hold. I just need to curb expectations that I will be available for future runs and orders.

There are several other very qualified soft-parts makers, including LadySewForUs and Crazy4BobaFett, and I fully support their work and craftsmanship. Take advantage; it’s a great time to be into Fett costuming!

As it stands right now, I have a few remaining orders due in the mail by weekend’s end, and I apologize to those members if I appear to be ‘slacking off’. Rest assured, I’m still working hard to complete everything soon.

    Move along...

    Eric,
That sounds like a very enjoyable endeavor!! I am truly glad that you will still be here!
You have been a great influence and help to me, and I do appreciate all that you have done.

Again, I am glad this is not a goodbye!! It sounds like you will have lots of fun ahead!!

We really need to do some Star Wars Karaoke, maybe you could do that someday! I have always have had visions of the bar scene, and everyone having a time with Karaoke.

cheers and good luck to you!!!

While I am sorry to hear you're retiring, I'm glad you're not leaving the board Eric. I've got several of your items in my own costume, and it's always been a privelege working with you.

And now I'm REALLY glad I decided to order that vest early.

Best of luck with the karoke; maybe we can have TDH meet & greet with some karoke one day. In costume of course.

    Charlie

Thank heavens ... you had me freaked out there for a second. I'm glad you're not leaving the community for good.
